If the patch notes are not made by you and are made by the team then a quick copy and paste and posting them in here takes no time at all. This should not be affected by you having to deal with what you are calling “Social Commentary” or Argumentative language. Just seems like a bit of an excuse to me but I will leave it at that

@JNT_BA appreciate that there are rules to the forum that is fine but a lot of the posts on here are people frustrated with their current experience of the game and the minimal communication on what is being done to change things. We were told that there would be a road map prior to launch outlining rosters and face scans, we’ve not seen that and now Ross has now said there will be a gameplay patch tomorrow. It would just be great to get a bit more communication ahead of time on when roadmaps are coming and what to expect in patches.

You know I was going to delete this but let’s use this as a teaching moment. Lachies job is not to simply sit here and watch the forums and “paste” things. If you think that, then that’s a weird job to have. He and the others in my team have many responsibilities. Every action taken here means something takes longer there and what takes longer there means less here. It’s kind of like time is a finite resource and every action has a knock on effect. Especially while I’m not in studio to directly help them. Lachie also helps with the support site for people who actually need assistance. So yeah when he’s here, people who genuinely need help and are not sitting here with the “social commentary” lose out.

Slow motion kicking could be a simple off on toggle. An online league function is essential to retain interest in online play.

Understandable I get that, I really do. But that’s unfortunately not our call. But we will certainly be here when there is updates. But this is a perfect way to get that across, thank you for keeping it reasonable.

Agree, not sure if you have played online but it has potential. Tackling really needs to be improved in this aspect though, most of my tries online scored and conceded have 3/4 players in range to tackle but player switching is too buggy.
Keen to keep this on topic as I’m sure the BA lads are, but as someone who works in QA, if you want to feed back on something’s quality, give quality feedback. This means:
- Don’t make disparaging remarks about others work.
- Don’t pester for updates. Ask questions, sure. But don’t take it the wrong way if it isn’t answered. It won’t always be possible for it to be, as has been said.
- If you’re making what you believe to be a useful suggestion, qualify and explain it in detail. ‘Make X like Rugby 22’ without any specific definition as to how what you would like to see differs from Rugby 25 is not useful. If you don’t know how to voice what you’d like to see in a way that is quantifiable, that’s ok, but consider whether what you’re posting adds value.
- Read the thread. There’s lots of duplicate points in here, I’ve been guilty as a recent joiner of covering things that have already been said. If you’ve something new to add, great, but if it’s ’I can’t win a lineout’ for the 100th time, again ask yourself if this adds value.
Climbing off my high-horse now to report my first crash upon doing a quick lineout. For some reason the ball went into the hands of the opposition ten who ran it back into the 22 and stood still, and all the other players froze. I switched sides in settings and ran to the other end and touched down for a try, then the game crashed. Submitted a report as prompted via Playstation with a video. All in all, just found it pretty funny. I was losing anyway.

Back again with some suggestions
- Please improve the passing it’s so inconsistent and there’s no fluidity
- Ai don’t pass the the ball it’s just one pass from sh every time they also don’t kick just the odd box kick now and then
- Also please increase the difficulty I’ve felt no difference between medium and hardest
- Scrums and lineouts are still broken
- Ai also doesn’t seem to recognise obvious penalties but gives random ones which is annoying

I feel this game has great potential and it’s things are looking promising and it’s great there’s been quite a few updates since the initial release I feel with just a patch on these things can make it a great game

PS5 some more big and minor stuff
Less minor this one, skill moves and bump offs seem to be broken for me any skill move I try and do end up being a side step once in 10 a bump off works but online it seems to be working fine for other players
Ruck joins for me also seem very slow since the last update for me but seems it’s fine for mostly everyone else online
Try areas in some stadiums are very small, Murrayfield for example
A lot of licensed stadiums have the wrong name such as Cardiff Arms Park is called Cardiff Fields
Number 11 LBB is set as the default kicker for France but it should be Ramos
Can’t add players who aren’t custom players to custom teams means you can’t do say a British and Irish lions team, baabaas or international A teams
And Ofc still hoping for big improvements in passing and rucks like everyone else !

Please read the backeted bit in the first paragraph and you could see that I say have an option to both. Have spoken to other people about this and others agree it would be interesting to have this option.

So there should be an update for this hopefully going out soon for Steam. This will be a hot fix not a full patch with notes.
Not all updates will have notes especially for those that are targeted stability basically.
When there is a larger update with larger gameplay updates you will get notes then.

Been playing for a few days now, mostly career mode using the Brumbies in SR. Here are some of the issues I’ve found, sorry if some already addressed, I haven’t read through all the posts.
-Can’t seem to get the ball out of a scrum, always collapses and get penalised.
-Gameplay is great for players like Rob Valetini, one off the ruck stuff, can get good momentum, but can’t get guys like Tom Wright involved much. The old EA Rugby games allowed the backs time and space.
-Passing in general play sucks. Make a break and have one support player outside, hit pass and the ball goes straight to ground and into touch. When you do try and spread the ball, players always running in and not out.
-Kicking in general play also sucks, even if you manage to get a 10 in the pocket, as soon as you pass, they start running and don’t get a kick away. Also can’t put up bombs from a box kick, only ever goes long.
-Speaking of, when the ball goes to ground off a pass, you don’t seem to be able to change player to closest player to the ball.
-If you earn a penalty in attack and go for goal, the player who last had the ball takes the penalty kick.
-Can’t edit squads, eg Joseph Sua’ali’i is in the Wallabies team but not the Waratahs and I can’t add him in. Also, can’t add any other players to the Wallabies squad, even if you remove players.
-One other small thing, there is no competition that involves Southern Hemisphere National teams. Have to create a custom league which only allows up to 8 team, no World Championship style competition, no Rugby Championship.
I think there is enough potential in the game, graphics looks great, player likeness is fantastic. Hope some of the gameplay stuff can be sorted out.
