I just rebooted my Steam after 6 months not playing it and I can see the latest patch update now. I normally play on PS5 so hoping that comes through today ?
PS5 is already out, thatâs what Iâm playing it on atm.

Oh great thanks for letting me know. I just turned on the PS5 here in Sydney. Patch is downloading with 5 mins to go.

Played 3 matches games are bit more closer but AI tries happens not by player error but due to poor gameplay with no real control on the player to stop a break tackle, unfortunately game will be uninstalled again, biggest issue with the game is the gameplay unfortunately itâs bland and boring and as mentioned the things that happen in the game that the player has no control over takes away from the experience. My opinion this game wonât get any better until a massive overhaul has been done on gameplay

2nd when you score in the corner and goes to TMO they say try before they go to tmo(timing issue)

And how is the side steps now is it better anyone trying it out yet ?
And then with the dirt on players and kits is it like realistic with the weather if it rains its more dirt or how does that work ?

1st things first South africa national anthem isnât the full thing same with new zealand idk about other teams the game feel ok ish I would just like the ruck to look like actual rucks and the game to actually feel like a match
With the update, do the rucks now work or does - when pushing the ball steal button - the player stand and look like they are carrying an invisible box never to win the ball even when the ball carrier is isolated?
@JNT_BA can one invert the sidestep as when i want to go on outside of player its down and when i want to go inside of player its up(side camera)
From my experience, the game doesnât even recognise controller input on the 1st set call with LT/RT most of the time. Then the timing bar on the put-in is weird, it doesnât really have any sense of timing, it just shows a third full and drops to zero in an instant. It never âfills upâ.
Iâm not even sure what you are supposed to do at that point.

Had a 10 min play at lunch (of the game) and this felt the best Iâve played on r25. Enjoyed a lot
Few points:
Canât tell which teams donât have updated rosters? Seemed like all of prem and top 14 did too. Lots of errors in the prem lineups but Iâll have lots of fun making them correct. I assume I can change positions for those that are definitely wrong?
Be great to have updated kits and branding for the PREM
Advertising hoardings seemed to be there to give the game more life
Not sure if itâs me but the defence AI bites inside quite a lot. Maybe need to learn how to control the blitz more?
Fluidity and speed of rucks and passing has come on hugely since I last played
Was AMAZED updated Mens 6N fixtures arenât in for the tournament. Please could this be added?
Overall, really positive on this one. Would still love more depth and as it shows above would be great to have more updated content in the NH, but 100% a step in the right direction

Have not tried new patch yet, my biggest look forward update in order of importance
Scrums improved (make them fun) huge part of rugby
Mauls improved
Side steps
Isolated tackle, stand and jackal implemented along with ruck infringements, hands in ruck, not releasing, coming into ruck from the side. No rugby game has given us a great ruck system, good but not great, there is an opportunity here to do so. Here is to if not in this patch , they will work on this for the next one.

Update has been massively positive. Its not going to fix all the issues but its better than it was.
Plenty of roster and kit updates which was good to see.
Gameplay feels more fluid. Ai is more realistic. Doesnt break all tackles first time, makes more mistakes, kick more as they would in real games.
Passing seems a bit smoother and being able to throw those miracle balls into space or onto someone running at speed seems more possible.
Sidesteps actually look and feel like sidesteps now. Made some lovely breaks!
Rucks still arenât brilliant, neither are mauls. Scrums⊠Iâll just leave that bit out! There doesnât feel like there has been any change.
But all in all, good update!!

Downloaded and played update. Gameplay is a step backwards. Scrums arenât fixed. AI doesnât kick as much. AI no longer kicking to touch when ahead at halftime. Half went over 50 minutes.
Jersey dirt great but overdone. I played in Forsyth Barr and most players were muddy like it had rained inside all day. Meanwhile the pitch was clean like carpet.
Appreciate the sidestep. Also the roster and jersey updates but didnât see any for Super Rugby which starts this weekend.
Still no pitch markings or adverts. Sliders needed badly.
