A game like this should rely some on stats but should mostly rely on twitch gameplay. Otherwise, we can play rugby a management game. I give great thanks to the great upgrades given to the ruck system since launch, but it still needs some key essential elements like (the initial intended use of the Y button) tackle, stand, jackal.) Rucking infringements, (holding the ball, hands in the ruck). The scrums are probably one of the weakest parts of the game, needs more risk vs reward and more infringements in the scrum when playing them poorly or over or early committing. And sidesteps needs a quicker animation, even like Rugby league 26 would be ok. Having said that, the game has come a long way, went from unplayable to having fun with it. But the gameplay improvements should by the main focus. I just donāt understand why home screen aesthetics are so important, I do understand it is a different team that deals with gameplay vs the game art, but surely less resources can be but into the art, and more into the actual gameplay, this is the meat and potatoās of the game. I could have an 80ās home screen and great gameplay and not give a hoot about a fancy home screen.
Stadiums are still reseting after each reload of the gameā¦
When I assign a custom stadium to a team and launch a competition : either It shows the āvanilla stadiumā, or It crashes at launch. So at this point, custom stadiums are only usable for custom teams. And some competition such as ProD2 are always played in a 80000 seats stadium. It takes away a lot of the immersion IMO. The community created these stadiums, sometimes very faithfully, and itās a pity not to be able to use them.
Well yes cause you dont have the next patch so it will currently reset. Its not done in the current version.
With Super Rugby starting next weekend, will there be an update to those clubs as well as URC?

Recent gripes include if a hooker takes a yellow the line outs become all wonky and they just lineup and stand there instead of making subs or changing the thrower. Lack of updated kits for 2026. I spend hours every day watching recent matches and tweaking ratings to match reality I wish I could share these to the community without having to make custom players. Also begging in the next update to allow us to remove players from teams(YES EVEN LICENSED ONES) because Iāve added all the players to their new current teams for the year but canāt remove from their old teams amd this makes career mode unplayable. Ratings are far too generic and not based on body type or even positions in some regards. Offloads and ball in hand play just isnāt as fluid as it needs to be. Still love the game and play it a ton. Why was menās world cup removed from competitions? Canāt even make a custom one like it. Would be nice to manage groups in a custom competition. Hire me and Iāll get to work for your benefit and the benefit of your customers.

A better and deeper custom competition shouldnāt be to hard to reach.
I would like to ask. I have Rugby 25 on ps5 and in career mode there are only 3 save slots. so I am not able to play more careers than 3. I would like to know if it is possible to unlock this somehow. Thank you
Thatās pretty absurd. If they wonāt keep up with player movements before(or even duringā¦) a season we should be able to take care of it for our own rosters. Literally donāt see how any team could have an issue with the fans putting whoever or removing whoever to or from a team on a game they purchased. More things I have a problem with is a preset number(one single in our case) of broken tackles per player per phase. If I time it well and my ratings are superior to the other players I should be able to break it. Lineouts should be more like scrums with multiple inputs to increase risk/reward and demand more precision. Jackals should do more with player ratings and getting there such and such time before the clean out occurs rather than some arbitrary metric and mashing a button. There should be gusts of wind that influence kicking rather than a steady stream which is more realistic than not. Lack of prem cup in Career mode for Prem teams, no currie cup. No international trophies for match ups despite there being one for almost every test nation against almost any other given test nation(i.e. Bledisloe or Calcutta Cup)

There seems to be a lot of calls for roster updates, kit amendments, stadium changes, gripsocks etc.
Is it just for me that scrums are totally broken, inputs donāt register and the whole process doesnāt make sense? Scrums are a pretty big part of rugby union but sounds like itās not getting addressed?
Totally agree with you. I mean I didnāt evan know what gripsocks where until this game.
I for one whould like to see what ruck changes they will be bringing in
@JNT_BA is there any way you could maybe explain how sidesteps and fends actually work in rugby league live 26 and if this can be somewhat replicated in rugby 25. Believe it or not sidesteps still donāt work and are so slow they kill all momentum. One of the first thing mates ask when trying the game for the first time is how to sidestep and I just laugh at themā¦
Scrums have been working for me. You win the first two inputs, especially the tap X when the meter is full amd then instead of putting any other inputs in you just hold the direction stick left or right and the SH will scoop and go.

This game needs more stat overlays. Like possession, territory. Kicking and more to appear by the scoreboard through the game.
Also every other sport game allows you to put players on any other team. In NBA2K I can put LeBron on the Pacers if I want. Why canāt I do that on this game?? In Career you can sign players to another team so why canāt we in the Menus???
For now lets see what we get friday as its been a long timeā¦ maybe we can build from there. @JNT_BA is there a new rugby game coming this year or only next year???
