From what I saw so far:

  • New anthems (not for all teams)
  • AI contests lineouts
  • AI doesn’t always break the first tackle
  • AI kicks more (I might just have been lucky)

Can i ask the ruck turnover. Can we just get a normal turnover where the nr9 is in place to send to backline please? And when will the ruck and turnover update happen… @JNT_BA

No you’re not lucky, your right, I have noticed that the AI kick more and go for more 50:22’s. Also, scrums seem to be way more responsive. This game is so close to being such fun, just a few glitches sorted outand stuff like set plays and better rucking systems and it could be the best.

100% atmosphere is bad and makes the game a little blander..

Played my last match and had 3 scrums in the first half, two of them came after correct knock-on calls where advantage played out properly before coming back for the scrum.
Scrums also feel much more responsive now: after a couple of pushes, the 9 can pick up and play, which makes it feel far more realistic.
Also noticed wind seems to be affecting goal-kicking too, which is a great immersion/detail add.
Really positive signs!

Overall, enjoying the game more than I have before

BUT, switching defenders into who you control not always going to the player nearest to the opposition player with the ball is doing my nut in. Giving away daft tries as I can’t select the right player

I always play on medium, for me it’s where I find I have the most fun.

Something I have noticed that when you are lining up a kick at goal the game clock isn’t on screen but i think it should and also should still be running so the time runs down, so if you score a try with a under a Minute could should get the chance to run the clock down to win the game like what happened in wales Scotland yesterday

@JNT_BA olayikg a Men’s 6 Nations at the moment - shouldn’t the 6N and any comp with International Teams have each game run as a “Test Match” (sans the trophy celebration at the end)?

There is just no fun with them at the moment, the mechanism is decent enough, but the risk vs reward is not. If you play them to perfection with a strong scrum team, you should be rewarded with penalties and ball possession by either having the opponent infringe or by creating a push over for a kick to the sideline. The occasional reward when playing them to perfection would add a more fun element to them. Also if you screw up the timing, the opponent (AI or human opponent should be rewarded with a kick to the sidelines. The mechanics are fairly good but the outcomes are lacking. It seems like a could be an easy thing to implement. Come on guys “let make scrums fun” and meaningful. They are boring at the moment, not because of the mechanics but because of the possible outcomes.

Was playing Super Rugby Pacific and Six Nations Tournament over the weekend..

Was playing 7 min on hardest diffculty.The game was more fleunt and a bit more realistic was using the tactic buttons and its a bit more useful with running lines and cutout passes.Few things i have notice AI is making more then 2 passes when on attack they should be more variety on chips kicks and Grubbles..Would like that AI drop the fly half in pocket when under pressure on goal line…props does not kick for touch from they own goal line.like how Ai contest on lineouts not always and sometimes which quiet fun

Anyone notice the Contest Button Y/Triangle is back after it was taken out on the last patch or is just on my version Xbox S.

What would make game more fun and addictive

Ruck penalties on holding on or hands in the ruck AI always steal the ball when ruck is already formed would like penalties on that outcome.

Y button tackle should be and outcome of high tackles if timing is bad or perfect for a big hit.

Scrum penalties notice the button input is fixed but the there should be reward and nothing happends very dull.

The Offsides not always repetitive sometimes my players who is offside cannot tackle,instead of giving the penalty immediate there should be a advantage even knock ons when team kick the ball away the knock on advantgae should be over.also when kick the ball my player who is offside do not get penalized that should be looked at.

Notice the wind effect on General Kicking.The Goal kicking is very easy it shoud be challenging the wind should have an effect..

Kicking for touch when using pocket kicker the ball is not traveling further then 40 meters..usually the ball travels 50/60 metres it depends how much power that should also can be tuned..

Tactics-wide/narrow-deep

I notice is not rush defence but tight defence which is good rush defence also will be good..

The behind the back passing using the 1-3-3-1 system

Setpieces moves from lineouts and srums and ruckcs would be perfect..

Rauling mauls also needed to be tuned should be faster not so slow maybe where we can maul 10m from the goal line..

All this if tuned and fixed would make the game fun and addictive also i notice the dirt on the kits players coming out the tunnel looking they already played a game in the sheds..

Muddy pitch would be good not always muddy but also green dirt on the kits when playing on grass

When will superrugby wil get adverisement boards visuals etc and updated kits notice the teams has been updated as well the 6 nations

This is also doing my head in, it often selects full back who is nowhere near the ball meaning they run in a different direction, or it selects the outside player which again results in leaving a huge gap for them to run into. This has been mentioned many times and thought it could be a quick fix but, here we still are.

I really don’t have much wrong to say about the game at this point. Yes, there are things that need improvement but we’ve gone such a long way, especially after the last 3 patches. The game is fun now, even without penalties, scrums or set pieces. I can even look past the odd ruck steals by the AI and the fact that you can only break one tackle. I’m going to leave you with a hilarious glitch. I guess they’re experimenting with new on field benches in Wellington

You have a completely different game to me then :sweat_smile: This game is still no where near fun for me. Still way to much nonsense in it and way too much missing to be a rugby game.

Such a shame. There is so much potential here.

After last patch, the game is playing better, having some good games on hard difficulty playing as Argentina, things that need fixing.

  1. Scrums, mechanism is decent enough but the rewards of winning them is not.
  2. Rucks, when I play against a lower rated team like Tonga they seem to play out fairly well but against evenly rated or better rated teams, it seems the AI cheats. If they AI gets to the breakdown first it can quick jackal the ball, the user can’t do this, it’s in the game but the user cannot do it. On the offensive end of rucks, it is working fairly well. Many times, only adding 1 or 2 to the ruck, (but pick and go from first player to the ruck should be added). The good thing is even on hard difficulty many times you can play quicker ball and add only 1 or 2 to the ruck, but things missing are: infringements and penalties (holding on, enter ruck from the side, hands in the ruck). It still has not been explained ( do we hold the x button for the steal or do we jam on the x? does the jackal steal button only work before you add players or works before and after turns into pushover? More then a year later and the Rucks instructions have not been explained well. Please explain, how the system is supposed to function, (can be a very good system, but please explain the mechanics of the system Big Ant).
  3. side steps have been improved, maybe some tuning

Overall the game is fun to play, but the ruck (tackle, stand, jackal on the isolated player, is the same scoring a try emotion but on the defensive side of the game, so it must be added on the USER side to add that excitement to the defensive side of the game. Either by getting the quick steal or having the AI hold on and penalized for not releasing. This action is almost as celebrated as a try. This is the biggest void in the game, it is not having a proper Jackal and proper rucking penalties. If this can be added it will greatly enhance the game. And greatly enhance playing defense in the game. The jackal or the offense be called for holding on, should be rare, but it should be in the game. Looking forward to the fixes the next patch will bring. Thank you Big Ant for continuing to improve the game. The efforts are starting to pay of.
