50:22s generally don’t work. Looks like there is a big buffer zone around the 50 and 22 lines, if the ball is kicked from near the 50 or lands near (but definitely within) the 22 it doesn’t register as a 50:22.

The squad selection needs work and is very cumbersome. A way of jumping down the list of players would be good, a “team sheets” option to save/select team presets like
in FC/fifa would be IDEAL for career.

PC hardest settings - when the maul forms just add at most 3 players and start driving, every few metres add an extra player

The AI will not maul however

@JNT_BA I know this is not a huge issue considering the game play, but do we think/know if there’s any plans to add the Haka for when u play as NZ, or the other traditional war chants as the other pacific nations?

Thanks will give it a try. But ridiculous on defense against the AI you don’t even have to add 1 player, nothing changes, other than you have more players do defend the line. You should be penalized for not adding players and the AI at times should be able to gain some ground on you on Mauls, particularly if you don’t contest the maul, I think the mauls need a deeper system, like a graph system. Seems like it would be a fairly simple graph system. The more players you add the faster the graph will climb, the higher you hit the graph at the right time , higher then your opponent the more ground you gain. Sort of like the scrums in Rugby challenge except you can bind players to influence the speed of the graph if you have more players binded then your graph will repeat faster, allowing you to push more then your opponent to gain more meters.

Pro Team is the same as Ultimate Team mode for FIFA games.

Lets hope the servers improve if this is an online mode. Currently hard to know if I miss tackles online due to connectivity or the gameplay.

I’d like to expand on my original post

I’m only allowed to post 1 media link so I have combined my 3 GIFs in to 1 and labelled them point 1,2 and 3 so hopefully you can follow as best you can.

Point 1
when I say that it’s like passing a balloon rather than a rugby ball with the floating even after the new update here’s what I meant:

As you can see, when passing there so directiveness, there’s no structure to the passing it’s like a 9 year old just passing in midair.

Then as you can see when it gets to the last but 1 receiver when they go to pass to the winger it completely misses the winger and either goes to touch or the opposition, so unless the winger is directly in line with the passer it rarely reaches the winger.

Point 2
You’ll see I pass the ball and indeed it does give 1 direct pass however the opposition AI is standing directly Infront of the catcher which means he gets tackled right away but during this match and the previous match it was full of forward passes or offsides, it’s like the AI doesn’t know what to do.

Point 3:

This one just shows what I mean when I say that it’s like a 9 year old passing the ball, look at the guy with the scrum cap and the way he passes the ball, he just chucks it up in the air and it floats and by the time the catcher receives the ball the opposition are in his face.

There’s no positioning sense from the AI, everyone is bunched together and with that plus the floating passes there’s no shape to the game play imho, the AI needs to be able to read like a normal rugby game that if you turn the ball over in your favour then the backs get in line, the balls passed out correctly and like some 9 tear old who just throws the ball in the air.

Hopefully these will be passed on to the development team as I hope it clearly shows what needs to be improved.

I’ve seen on twitter that updates will be every Tuesday and Thursday and I would like to thank you for keeping us in the loop regarding this as it’s much appreciated and hopefully the game will be more playable with future updates as the game has the potential to be brilliant but this passing feature needs to be ripped apart and start again and although it’s better than it was it’s still very hard to play with these floating passes as you can see by the images shown.

A side note that I’m playing on easiest mode for career and I’m still losing quite a few games so I switched to hardest and there was no difference either.

If anyone would like me to record and replicate an issue they have and add it here with a video please ask and I’ll do my best.
FYI: I’m using the Playstation 5.

Yes please, i don’t understand how we have licensed teams and names but not the actual player on a full released game

Hello Team.

Not gonna do a big suggestion post.
Other people have great suggestion, so go look for those.

Only thing right now i’m going to say is about the AI.

I know tomorrow’s patch is supposed to be on AI as well, but for now AI is not a real threat on matches even in Highest difficulty.

Most of all, the AI is lacking Kicking game.

Most of the time, when is in the 22 or worse on 5 meters, the AI refuses to kick, leading almost always to lose the ball…

Also offense kick isn’t an option for ai.
A kick for passing, for gaining territory, for putting pressure…

Hopes AI gets better along with the other stuff.

Great work with yesterday patch passing is massively improved!.

After playing yesterday’s update, I’ve got to say the passing and support lines are much better. Well done BIGANT, a step in the right direction. Honestly, if the AI start attacking, i.e actually make a second pass… This will be the best rugby game ever made. Continuos improvement quickly is pleasing to see. Still a few errors with the passing, but yesterday I seen short pop balls to support players running onto it hard… Much shallower support play and players not stopping when receiving the pass, and holy hecka, I even saw the winger receive a pass. Unreal.

Quite ironic actually, so if you can improve these glaringly wrong things, why the heck were they so wrong in the first place???

Hi guys hope you doing well? Love the game sofar. Something that I haven’t seen anyone talking about is. When the AI gets an injury they don’t sub. Has anyone encountered the same thing in career mode?

I tend to switch injuries off…,

I get that but takes away the fun aspect of the game. But hopefully it gets attention soon
