Hey fellas,

Again cheers for the updates game is slowly getting more fluid but still requires a lot of work.

Other then the bugs, AI poor decision making, wrong calls from ref for being offside, scrums being overcomplicated and rucks just being a button bash

The biggest issue with gameplay is still the lack of depth on Attack. The support lines/angles, player movement and player positioning. It’s so unstructured, lacks strategy and currently meaningless positioning. Looks like a free for all out there with no intent or plan. Support lines have improved a lot but still very inconsistent. Finding that when the first receiver gets the ball from the half back, the support line are too deep which leaves the ball carrier isolated and destroys your opportunity to get any momentum on attack. Sometimes the support runners are running weird angles, either back towards the ruck, or flat footed and not supporting the ball carrier at all.

Need to implement blocker and sliders, where you have the ball carrier, two players outside him with the outside player cutting on the inside angle to take the short ball off the ball carrier, and the middle player drifting/ sliding behind the player running the short ball line to give the ball carrier the option to pass out the back and feed outsides. That way the ball carrier has two options of support players running different lines/angles. This really needs to be added into the game to add some life to the attack.

Tactics - players aren’t positioning themselves correctly to the tactic you’ve selected. 1-3-3-1, forward pods don’t position themselves correctly and the 10/ playmaker Is standing too deep. 10 needs to be positioned outside the forward ball carriers outside shoulder so they can receive that tip pass then either hit a gap or feed the outsides or next forward pod outside 10.

You need to have the ability to control where you have your forward pods running, e.g off 9, 10 or 12. Otherwise the default needs to be a correct backline formation 10,12,13 with your wingers on either side with the 15 joining the line if in the opposition half. 10 is hitting too many rucks, standing blind or out the back out of play. Get them involved in the attack. Make it realistic.

Hope you guys address this in future updates, sooner rather than later. Hoping it’s a priority as would add so much more depth, realism, strategy and enjoyment to your game!

You’ve got some really good feedback in this forum, if you addressed even a few of these gameplay issues it would completely change the experience for the player. Sad to see the same issues being brought up and still not being addressed or acknowledged.

Ok so I have few ideas for this game
First off playing at Forsyth Barr Under the roof and it’s raining :joy::joy::joy: that’s just ridiculous covered stadium cmon
I’m really getting the hang of this game scrum rucks etc I think it has huge potential
Since last update been having issue where at scrum time the halfback disappears and it’s just a floating ball and at lineout the ball is glitching like a strobe light
And what is the go with the World Cup why can’t we play it it’s there but says not available

Yeah I kept meaning to mention the rain in covered stadiums, Forsyth Barr does seem to have an especially large number of holes in it’s roof in this game! :rofl:

I wonder if we will see French photogrammetry first or we will see the competitions we have photogrammetry for get fully decked first

Quick tip for anyone struggling to score (side cam PS5).
From a 7 man line out throw to the back and hold relevant trigger to select a player, use triangle even if you don’t have time to spot where the icons are. This generally passes to 12 in good depth and space. Then pick off defenders passing to 13 and then wing and your in! Looks good too :+1:

Would be great to be able to pick both starting line-ups before a game, also random penalties definitely need sorting

Has anyone seen the AI pass back inside on attack, or are the limited to only getting the ball out wide?

Bet it would look good seeing the ball spun wide off a line-out. Might have to give it a go myself.

A shame we’d have to always skip 10, because the Halfback and Flyhalf aren’t positioned well to receive off a line-out. Too close to the opposition by a good few metres.

I saw one injury cutscene in the game Rugby 25 but not sure how it triggered because I haven’t seen these injury cutscenes since last update

There was nothing in the messages that was constructive or criticism. You were talking about league… so yeah. It was deleted.

Competitions:

  • With custom competitions you should be able to name them to be able to tell them apart from others as at the moment its just ‘competitions’ and would be cool if you could add custom logo for the comp.

Career:

  • International teams when selecting team should be 36 players instead of 30, more realisitic and you have lack of depth when players are low on stamia and with carded players
  • Additionally when players get injuried or between games of a cup (week 1 and week 2 of six nations for example) should be able to change the squad drop players and call up new ones
  • Signing players still unclear and can not do realistic one as you’ll always be rejected on the offer.

Great point and because of this I accidently deleted one of my competitions :sob::sob::sob::sob:

On the new update if yoy run stamina bar basically depletes instantlt I am playing on hardest and I am beating argentina 42-0 at halftime when substituting olayers cant there be like a cutscene piece scrum time you still have to mash the pick up button for the eight man to pick up I don’t know anymore

Yeh really unhappy with the stamina drain, it just seems to have taken all the speed out the game, plus its not like its made the game any harder. It just looks rubbish, and i am still dominating the AI on hardest settings.

i hope the devs can implement a kicking game for the AI ASAP to try and up the difficulty as it is a little boring knowing that every game is a blowout.

Also, when on earth are we going to be able to edit our teams? It’s crazy having a licensed tournament where you cannot even use players who are playing in the actual real tournament.

Yes I think we all are a bit shocked about the stamina drain.

When this was put forward to the developers I think what people meant was after the game the players stamina take quite a while to go back to full as you had to take players out of the match day 23 for a few games for it to go back to full but instead I don’t know what’s been done but for me the only person who can sprint more than twice in a game is the scrum half and the forwards stamina gets depleted really fast as the game doesn’t know when to put the forwards in rucks and the backs in a backline as at ruck time what should be my outside half is always a prop or a lock and the center is always a flanker.

I know sometimes in real life games backs get dragged into rucks but the game is constant with backs in forwards positions and vice versa.

Needs to be addressed and hopefully with yesterday’s patch only being a stability patch then we may have something big for Tuesday :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Technically it’s correct if it’s a front row player being yellow carded - got to have a full front row at all times (sacrificing a player for the duration of the sin bin to get the replacement prop/hooker on). Get it logged as a ticket either way.
