When you are putting your player in a drop goal position, hé is still running to the ball while hé should stay static so he got more time before the défense counter it.

I am currently making custom teams for Super Rugby Americas.
It would be so much easier if we could be allowed to just add players already in the game. For example the Team Peñarol is mostly made up of players from Uraguay. Instead of me having to spend many hours and days creating players, could you please just allow us to add the players to custom teams ? This would be so much easier. Thanks

Overall a continued frustrating experience. I’ve been involved in Early Access since the start and have found, when I logged into play again today, not much has changed. Certainly not enough to merit buying the game for my Xbox or recommend to any other users.
Through months of feedback, testing, updates and so on we still find ourselves asking for better passing, proper rucking mechanics and all the things asked at EA1. This game is neither realistic or an arcade game, it’s just a disappointment in the context of Early Access that we were involved with.
Again, I question the marketing and strategy behind this release. It clearly isn’t ready, the community told you it wasn’t ready and many great ideas from the community have been ignored. Yet, it was released. Instead of maximising your profits with a great game you are doing damage control with weekly updates that are lackluster at best.
With that being said, it still does look great and has many great and interesting licences.
Upon watching the six nations and trying to play it today momentum should be a bigger factor in the game. I remember rugby 08 had an momentum bar. If this is being filled, through effective carries, then back retention should be easier. If the call is turned over and a clearance kick is made, with momentum being against the kicking team the range of that kick should be reduced, unless it is world class kicker.
I have further ideas and thoughts on this but there are so many many issues with this game that this will never be acted upon but hear it is too be ignored.
Handoffs too easy in game, 99% beat 1st defender by just holding down right analog. Should depend on timing of handoff, player attributes and defending player timing of tackle and atttibutes. This makes attacking way too easy.
The patches we have for more than a year mainly even only concern passes. Can a guy from Big Ant can tell us if and when they plan a real rework on:
- Lineouts which are basics and awfull
- Rucks animation to order decent jackal and/or pick and go
- Mauls in order to push and turn them as it’s a key scoring in 90% reals rugby matches
- set plays in order to really manage depth, forwards combinations and kicks to the wingers
These 4 aspects are essentials and would provide a true control and a true fun that should bring a massive amount of rugby fans/custommer and pull out the game from the financial failure that can kill it and disappoint every actors of this beautiful projects.
That’s an emergency to me.

AI passing so much better. Personally hate the auto avoid tackle animation, particularly AI. Overused in my opinion. Especially on the wingers.
Still very buggy. Quick line outs are terrible. Off sides terrible.
Still finding scrums terrible on the ps5- timing always off. Even with green graph i still seem to lose. Any advice?

Jsut a quick one on kicks.
I think the kicking in open play mechanics are good however whenever I make a line break I can’t kick whilst sprinting? As well as this, it’s rlly hard to get a grubber or chip over the top of a defender. I think a good way to fix this would be making it so that if u just tap the button it will do a chip kick or short grubber. Longer u hold it down the more powerful obviously but I’m pretty sure right now u can only do a kick with it coming up with all the targeting and having to hold it down.
Main issue tho is that you can’t pull of these kicks whilst sprinting.
Also pls adjust the goal kicking, I have almost never seen someone kick at goal and barely get the ball off the ground.
Finally, change the animation of when ur kicker drops into the pocket, they shouldn’t be running onto the ball
Although loving the game atm, do feel the AI Pass to far back giving you ample time to tackle and push them back
AI Passing is now better which is great, but they still seem to stop a pass short of where they need to go, like when there is clearly an open player on the outside, they do not bother to pass to him, so it needs further expansion. Right now the AI just pass for the sake of passing, but they don’t pass to their support runner when it clearly makes sense to do so.
There are also not nearly enough offloads at this point. Offloads should be high risk, high reward, but they don’t use it at all at the moment, even when it would be worth the risk.
There are also not enough penalties or knock-ons at the moment, which means the game mostly stays around the 50m line, with no scoring. AI vs AI again 0-0 after 10 min halves, despite having a 10 point ratings gap. The AI, although passing more now, are unable to find many gaps, also due to lack of offloads. I want the AI to score far more often and break the opposition AI defense with more ease.
Turnovers are way too frequent at this point.
AI still taking a scrum when given a penalty, when it makes the most sense to either kick for touch or kick for points. Opting for the scrum on a penalty is very rare and only used in certain situations
AI still not making any substitutions whether tactical or injury enforced.
Players still running out the wrong side of the stadium.
Custom competition still limited to 8 teams.
When you run in a certain angle with the ball you expect supporting players also run the same angle as you but they run in the opposite angle . Example when you run with the ball to your left and once you passed to the player to your left he change his angle to the right witch kills your momentum.

I think this is intentional as it gives you a player running an inside line of your run
Played a few games with the latest updates and it really is playing a lot better. Keep up the good updates as this game will be brill.
I agree, this should only happen if they’re cutting back into an open gap which it never is. Or if it perhaps gives the runner cutting in a much higher chance of performing a fend or bump-off (but both of those don’t work, only hand-offs).
Does anyone know if all the new updates have been applied to the PS5 version? It seems from posts some platforms are carrying different versions, just weighing up whether to purchase it.
I agree and the problem with this is most players want to pss the ball to through the back line but due to the player chaning the running angle it creates a huge gap between the player recieving the ball and the next player then once passed to the next player the player is to far away or too deep then that player needs to sprint much ground to recieve the baal and runs towards the ball

Latest Patch Feedback
I thought it definitely had improved the Ai to add more variation to their attack and passing with long passes and some multiple passes. I thought they gained more ground and territory but still lacked strategy to score Trys. The game was more enjoyable and more challenging. It was positive.
What I can see is that sometimes the Ai is passing to players very deep behind the Scrumhalf and it’s sometimes easy to quickly tackle the player receiving the ball and they lose ground. I think as long as there is more coded variations on passing to ai players deep or not deep in their lines it will create some more attacking or line break opportunities.
The offloads are needed from Ai and break tackle. Seems as though break tackle/ Bump off is not working as a tactic for Ai or for when you control a team. I only can do Fends.
Ai lacked attacking behaviour to kick 50/20 or kick the ball to try and set up some kind of opportunities for its players to break the line or confuse my defence. On Rugby League Live 4 I found it quite challenging previously playing Ai on some difficulty’s because of their kicking and passing attack.
Also no one seems to drop the ball for a knock on on my team or Ai. Again kicking bombs or high balls could set up field position opportunities if a tired player makes a mistake dropping the ball.
More penalties needed please and perhaps more high tackles from Ai or my own players.
The injuries to Ai with no substitutions and no substitutions for low stamina players might also be affecting Ai attack and defence.
I do like the random injuries on Hardest difficulty. You really can’t predict in some matches how many injuries you might get or when in the match early, mid or late so this to me is quite good and realistic.
Animations of players talking to referee I think are good and the referee talking to offending players for high tackles and penalties is excellent and adds immersion.
A good step in the right direction with the patch and I appreciate Ross listening to the community feedback last week along with you all and getting the special patch out before last weekend.
Coach career - Bug. Conflicting Doctors reports on injury type and injury length from email to team management summary on player. ( Please see screenshots below) Also on PS5 I can never tab with R1 or L1 to read the coach career news. It won’t respond.
I hope we can really keep improving Ai attack to make things more exciting and challenging in the future. This to me is a major issue that needs the most attention at this time. Thanks Team.

Just some feedback after playing a few matches.
General Games:
the offside needs to be addressed. when the AI kicks the ball and i receive it, i return the kick immediately and when doing so my player is offside and standing almost next to their fullback, even gets the ball before the AI does and keeps on playing.
there are some instances where the AI knocks the ball on but there is no scrum and its play on. another issue, when you are in your 22 and kick the ball out, the lineout happens from where you kicked it inside your 22, happens a lot from both sides.
Career Mode:
In my previous post i mentioned it but will again seeing there is no fix or feedback:
there needs to be a budget system implemented. at this moment, my top players are on the market but i cant offer them a new contract because the game doesn’t allow me to offer them what is needed, so i lose all my top players. you need to have a budget so that you have more control over the transfer market.
then what is the points for. i do these objectives and get these points, but what are they for? does anyone know? here is my suggestion. when the budget issue is sorted, i suggest that all the points you accumulate during the season, that it can be converted to money, for example every 1000 points is equal to $100 000 that will be added to your budget at the end of the season. the player fatigue is also an issue. it feels that it might have slow down a bit and can play at least 2 - 3 matches with a team before they are completely drained, but think the fatigue issue needs to be adjusted. the penalty scrum is still an issue. yes there is instances where the AI takes a kick at goal or kick to the sideline but 80% of the time they still take a scrum.
then i also need to give BA a huge thumbs up. when i played the final of the champions cup, while the teams walked out, the theme of “world in Union” was playing. to me that was a huge positive surprise because you just get that feeling that you are playing in a final. i didn’t want the intro to stop, was awesome lol
P.S just please fix the floating trophy at the end, won the final and got the trophy, but the trophy was floating in the air when presented to my team. also please put like a trophy cabinet in the game so i can see all the trophies my team won.
the game is heading in the right direction and are already enjoying it much more, thank you BA for all the updates and trying to make this the best rugby game ever, much appreciated.
People have mentioned about the Side camera not being accurate to some stadia - currently in the process of collating all the information for URC/Premiership/Top 14 grounds to help the BA team get this locked in. Obviously for MLR some teams have downsized this season (San Diego and LA have moved) so that one’s a bit harder to nail.
