Rugby League 26 - Megathread

220mb update

I’m keen to see the patch notes lmao

4.00 GB update on Xbox, had one game so far, seems faster to me…same problem with selecting defenders with bumper/stick…also still no foresight on d-pad and unlimited interchanges in super league…

Yeah they made the game unplayable now. 0 points for tries.

I’m going to need the shelve this for a few months. Absolutely ridiculous.

I feel bad for the devs having the crunch to try to fix this stuff on a rushed release. Really poor management

The update was like 10 secs on PS5  didnt show what size update, said like 15 secs to finish :laughing:

Nothing seems to have changed with players, still out of position in the game
Academy player section, yep still the same, those props are still speed demon stats.

Will we get our coins if we purchased the pro team edition?

still can’t switch players 4 days later

I can’t believe people are concerned about pro team when the game is essentially unplayable lol

Agree to many players quit out of games when getting beaten even by one or two scores. Happy to jump on a match at some point, I’m over in the UK too.

nice one, MassDeathmetal on Xbox..i post alot of crap video clips on the Xbox official club

A bit like Radman this game is built to make you have hope and then crush that hope 5 minutes later. Overall I like the foundational parts that RLL4 was good at anyway, attacking gaps, unpredictable plays etc. What is yet again a source of frustration is just how stingey the AI defence is, thats fine in terms of making things a challenge but an open source of frustration when it’s consistent to work with. Its really hard to pass down the line and I feel like Wingers are going to be a bit of a worthless position versus good halfs and speedy loose forwards. Anyway it’s enjoyable if not basically RLL4.

So, half a season in, I can say the game is pretty fun.

Loads of bugs and rough edges for BigAnt to sort through, but I’ve never seen them abandon a game. The core of it, even if recycled, is solid enough to work from.

Key things I’d like to see in the next patches:

  • Fix the positions of young players, so they’re not all Fullbacks.
  • Give us stats to look at mid game and after the game. Metres run, set completion, etc should be the bare minimum.
  • Have a look at the audio syncing around tries. Getting real sick of the referee’s whistle going before he blows it on the animation.
  • Keep working on how the hooker follows the play in attack. It’s better than it was initially, but still not great.
  • At least give us a text size option, as right now the text in general is all weirdly small.

Does anybody know what the latest update has changed?

Can we get statistics added for each player during games and after …

Before work, I checked steam and it was only that one that was getting updated (I’m guessing thats the hotfix).

Wasn’t there supposed to be a bigger one releasing last night live on steam as well? (AUS time)
