Had my first game since the update this morning and had a play that perfectly encapsulates the issues with the ratings right now.
PS5/on Pro difficulty, Payne Haas kicks it pin point from his own 40m, landing right in the middle of the in goal, Patrick Carrigan then wins a foot race with Hammer over 60 metres to score a try
It seems the only goal was for players overall rating to look correct, with little consideration to the specific ratings and how they would affect gameplay.
It makes no sense for teams to be passing to their front rower on last tackle to kick when both halves are available, or for wingers to be immediately swarmed by forwards once they make a break.
Here is just a few examples of out of whack ratings..
Adam Reynolds has one of the greatest kicking games of this generation, he has 79 Punt rating. His teammate Payne Haas, with 8 career kicking metres, has an 80 Punt rating.
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who is arguably the fastest player in the sport, has a 84 Sprint rating. His teammate Tom Gilbert, a Lock/Second Row, has a 89 Sprint rating.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, who despite his age still has one of the most notorious steps in the sport, has a 76 Step rating. His teammate James Fisher-Harris, a Prop, has a 86 Step rating.
Addin Fonua-Blake, who stands 189cm tall at a weight 123kg, has a 84 Strength rating, His former teammate Reece Walsh, who is 177cm/88kg has a 86 Strength rating
I donāt feel like I should be required to go through and tune all the players myself just for players to actually feel like positions they play in āthe most authentic Rugby League experience everā
