Is there a reason why my players went from fowards being fast and backs slower to all players running in slow motion ?

You gotta give them time. Admittedly the game was probably released too soon but there’s been a bunch of patches so far so that gives me hope things will keep improving over the coming weeks/months.

I’ve been a bit harsh on here as well due to my frustration with the state of the game but now that I’ve calmed down a bit I believe Bigant is working hard to improve things and I will be less critical and keep trying to help guide them in the right direction.

Aw I dunno man, I was a huge RLL4 fan and I’ve enjoyed parts of RL26 but here is just some stuff that has happened to me over the past couple of days.

  • During my player with the game on the line I attempted a pass which smacked the opposing player in the head who somehow headbutted it 50 metres to his 10 metre line which was somehow a 40/20, they kicked a field goal to win the game.

  • Start up a career mode, every time I start the game I have to turn alternate numbers from ā€œYesā€ to ā€œNoā€ despite maybe 2 or 3 teams in the comp actually using them but on this day I forget. Start signing players, getting ticket prices and staff in order etc only to load up the first game for the numbers to be all over the place, why does the game not remember something as simple as preference on alternate numbers?

  • When trying to start the above career I noticed a lot of positions just aren’t accurate which is pretty surprising since each player can be Googled and the position found in about 20 seconds. Some players originally had their correct positions only for them to change with later patches, some players had the wrong position and then were patched to another wrong position etc.

  • And then away from the things I’ve experienced in the last 24 hours the complaints about lack of international teams, stats, career stats, career depth, general gameplay bugs/glitches all still need to be fixed as well.

All of the above things should’ve been fixed before being released to the public. A few glitches every now and then, a couple of mistakes? Sure. The complaints and glitches at this point go into the hundreds though and that’s unacceptable.

Overall I do like the game and have enjoyed all of BigAnt’s league games but these patches don’t seem to really be fixing all that much and they deserve harsh treatment right now, this is an incomplete product and the incomplete product has netted them a minimum of eleven MILLION dollars.

I get it bro. I really just want to help get it right. I see the potential it’s just going to take a lot of work.

As right as you are that the game still has a road to go and feels buggy and incomplete in several major ways, it boggles the mind to know that however many issues Rugby League '26 has, Rugby '25 has maybe 4-5 times as many.

It doesn’t excuse ridiculous scenarios of having no stats, prominent game-play bugs, creation suite problems and weak career depth though. This game should have stood on it’s own as a fully developed working product on release!

Having 5 major sports titles on the go at a moderately sized developer will do that I suppose.

If I get tackled a metre from the line on last tackle why do they get a play the ball on the 10 metre line? Why in NRL games does the ref say he’ll give me a yellow card? How do you get it so wrong? Why is Leka a FB, gonna get rookie of the year and I refuse to believe anyone who watches league play tested this game.
I’ve tried so hard to enjoy it but I think I’m done. The halfback is wearing no.6. It’s so bad, I legit think you should scrap it and start again. How didn’t you have someone look over the teams?

I’ve already got ideas for create a set play I’ve been sitting on for nearly 15 years lol.

Let’s just see in another years time where both Rugby games are.

I believe they can be fairly judged, without doubt, by then.

Edit: Yes I am aware that you will get people moan, b**h, and whine. That’s the nature of the beast, not just in games, but in life in general.

They can be fairly judged NOW. Big Ant have released these games as quality products ready to use, So any judgment they get right now is fair.

A year on after release is when we can ā€œfairly judge themā€???

I’m merely saying let’s see in a years time. I get the feeling across all BA games that there are mixed feelings.

I myself find good points and bad points with all titles. Some games have gotten better over time.

I’m gonna remain patient and see. There’s no one else going to make a League or Union game in the next however many years.

Because no one else is making a game is not a reason for accepting low standards.

As far as I understand it you are someone who watches the game, watching AI play AI.

So our concerns about the intricacies of the gameplay are probably not going to be the same as yours.

Game as been in EA pretty much a year ago and we seen minimal changes so don’t really see what waiting another year will do, looking at BA latest games reviews ain’t that good for most of them

@Nesreviac you are correct I play AI v AI and my experience with the game is a lot different to someone who plays Player v AI or Player v Player

I understand and respect everyone’s different play styles and issues with the game.

Apologies if I came across wrong, that was never my intention.

I also have my issues with how the AI plays at times.

I do also agree with @Valhalla_Vagabond that the game will eventually become good. I think that will be the case for all styles of play, be it AI v AI or player involvement.

I think it’s well on the way to becoming the kind of game we would all hope it would be, it’s just got some areas that need to be improved.

I hope that is reflected for all different player types.

On another note I do hope that the current situation of the best person to offload to constantly being the opposition is changed and maybe when we make breaks our best support option will be someone from our own team soon. The opposition just seems to linger in the off-load area!

Obviously gameplay comes first and foremost to fix. However, after that it would be nice to see a few additions to the game.

Missing stadiums for some teams would be nice to have. I mentioned a few of these yesterday.

More advertising around the grounds depending on which competition is being played. Some of the other competitions such as Challenge Cup and 1895Cup have next to no advertising around the grounds.

This is also the same for the Championship and League 1. I’ve also noticed when playing 1895 Cup that the shirt logos remain as League 1. It would be much better to see the 1895 logo on the shirt instead. In general whichever competition is being played the shirt logo should reflect this.

Updated scoreboards to reflect the different competitions would make it more authentic too.

Same goes for the balls being used. It would be nice to see the competition logo on them.

How about adding in the NSW Cup? We already have the QLD Cup and State of Origin in the game. It seems odd not to have the NSW Cup.

Somewhere down the line it would be good to have the World Cup and International teams included.

These range from small to large things being added but I am hopeful at least some of these can be incorporated into the game.

Many thanks :+1:

Edit: Nearly forgot, how about 3rd kits for teams?

Easy fix issues .

1.Grubber kick to weak, needs to go much further.
2. You cannot sprint after a bomb to retrieve the kick; system needs a better system to try and time the jump correctly.

Yeah grubber and chip for that matter needs adjusting. Need to maybe add quick hold for strength and left stick to aim direction or at the very least make defenders react immediately to the loose ball because the current chip and grubber are exploits which I assume they know and will fix.

Just been testing the new patch out and it seems that they have fixed the defender switch function on the stick so it doesn’t just revert back to one of the markers.

They’ve also changed the ratings for all of the NRL. Not sure if they’ve changed Super League yet, but a pretty decent upgrade an overalls for the NRL. Some big changes to which teams are rated the best.

May have been some subtle speed adjustments to the differences between forwards and backs.

Not a lot else that I have noticed so far.

Sounds positive what you mention there.
