Problem is it’s happening multiple times a game. If you can hit that spot its likely to happen.
Yep, there seems to be a few sweet spots that trigger the forward pass.
Maybe they need to make all players other than the catcher take a step or 2 back, or delay the pass until after the catcher has taken a step or 2 forward
- I took video on my phone, which is too old to download to use with a ticket… On Veteran difficulty, was tackled from behind about 5m out from left upright in opponent red zone using side cam far classic. Player played the ball and the hooker just stood there looking down at it, rest of my team ran past play the ball, camera panned back to half way then returned to play the ball area where opposition had dived on ball and gained possession.
- Finding dummy half late to play the ball consistently, and general feel of passing and player running and getting into structured play “feels” delayed or a bit off to what it was pre update.
- Player running speed (not using sprint) feels a tad too slow.
Game is still unplayable for me, either play on Rookie and make line breaks at will, or play on Amateur and it’s impossible to break the defensive line or score any points. It’s unfortunate that there are no sliders.
It’s similar for me, but with pro to veteran.
Think we all agree this is the worst sports game we’ve all played in the modern Era of gaming.
6 plahers stand around no joining a tackle allowing a player to fall forward and score, Dunmy scoots 5x a set, Brain dead AI (Why would the fullback stand behing the deadball like on last tackle and not move toward a grubber)
After the latest update everyones wearing random numbers starting at 0,
Packs are better when opened with PTC (Opened 2 with PTC got 2 sapphire elites opened 14 with FP and got a rotation of the same 5 emeralds EVERY TIME)
Such a sad Obvious cash grab from BigAnt before the RLPA give players the rights to their digital image, going to trade in tomorrow at EB for NBA2k another cashgrab game but atleast its playable

The markers not being square when they are is the worst and most annoying thing I can’t deal with in the game as it is right now. Just flick off the offside marker when I’m behind the first marker please…
Like how can play the balls be so slow yet markers can not get square???.
I hold players down and still markers aren’t square…
It seems like the AI gets mostly the faster play the ball animations and I get all the slow ones.
It’s a complete mess.
Got no idea what the game wants me to do defensively at the ruck?
If I control the onside/square marker with the second marker offside, my controlled onside marker will just run out of the way sideways in a big loop, even though I’m doing absolutely nothing on the Left Stick.
If I control a player in the defensive line with offside marker(s) the AI dummy half completely wigs out and will throw a forward pass or turn over the ball.
So many serious problems

I don’t know what’s happened in the past 2 weeks, but in my opinion, there have been some game breaking changes which I can’t work with. I’ve put the game down for the time being. More the sake of my sanity than anything else!

Same tried uninstalling/reinstalling, rebuilding database but nothing works
About 10 minutes ago I bid on a player card that I already have and as usual it told me that I can either add the contracts to the one I already have or I can sell for Ptc or Fp, I won the auction and in the notifications it sayed I won it and it was added to my player inventory, guess what it’s not there and the ptc I spent on bidding on it have not been returned nor have the contract been added to my other player I would like big ant to do something about this as I spent over 13,000 ptc on it
I can get into the game as normal but I’m not sure what they have done if anything at all?
Certainly haven’t addressed this stupid bug where it’s a forward pass straight from the kick off. So hats off to you for that one??
Lazy as f when it comes to updating of squads, stadiums, balls etc. The BetFred Championship are still using an NRL ball? Every team who hasn’t got a stadium are playing at the MKM stadium?
No advertising for UK leagues, apart from Super League. Even then there are still no field markings.
If it’s a licensing issue then that should have been sorted prior to game release. No excuse with that one.
I think I’m going to do what I’ve done with Rugby 25. I’ll uninstall it and come back to it in a few months time, maybe Christmas and check to see if either game is in a more playable state and have the correct licensing, squads, stadiums, balls etc.
For now I’ll just follow the forums and keep an eye out for any patches released.

Sad the current state of the game.
Right on the eve of finals footy.
Thought the game was playing really decent a few weeks ago and was heading in such a good direction.
Last bunch of updates have turned it into a real mess.
Game has lost all of its fun.
Please fix it fast!
I think the change to the chip kick is good, it’s probably functioning as it should be in a balanced game. Props aren’t fast enough to regather on the full, a fullback or winger on the opposition has a higher chance to catch it unless you are positioned right and time your kick to get there first and you can time it right to drive into the in goal.
Regular bombs on the other hand are driving me crazy, ai opposition is stepping and fending immediately and making ground and eventually I get a tackle and then they’re driving an extra 5m so 1/10 times I get a kick to land in the 10 and I have defenders there the best I can hope for is tackle 1 ending on the 20m line.
At this rate I’m sending 37 textas after every match
In career mode every opposing teams prop forward plays with the 7 on their back and plays as the halfback for the team including goalkicking
Side Far Classic View - Veteran Difficulty
I have found a method that typically ends in line break and try;
- From your end do 3-4 hit ups but stay in roughly middle of the ground but slightly more to top of screen and make it so last hit up ends around 40m line. Selcet play on far right then pass to playmaker then execute 40/20.
- Now work 1 or 2 plays to right side upright (closest to top of screen) and be around 10m out from line to play the ball. Quickly press middle play option (up up) until the play is selected that Odd1x likes to play. Pass directly to half back, move to line (do not use sprint) then pass to next player outside after the reverse line player (decoy) runs passed then quickly pass on to centre then hit sprint for a short burst and dive in for the try…
I hit this play sequence continuously with tries galore to the point its almost an exploit of the game…good luck!
We need the captains challenge in this game because the amount of tries I’ve seen given because of obstruction and from knock ons from the attacking team
