I didn’t think that you were blaming BigAnt. I was just pointing out that you need to contact the NRL if you want the actual decision-makers to hear of your displeasure.

I know the release date is the 17th - but just seen this on BigW. I dont expect them to be shipping early - but strange that they are quoting this before the release date:

That is listed on the site as a “BigW Market” product. Which means that it is being sold by a third party through the BigW website. The delivery estimate is probably just a standard time-frame based on the seller’s location and where you live.

Done my bit to hopefully ensure sale numbers can warrant the start of development of RL28

JB Hi Fi pre order done :white_check_mark:

Looking forward to seeing what the team have been able to develop for us after so long (as well as find out all the questions we all have but aren’t getting answered just yet hahaha) and can’t wait to rip in and help the team make this a great start to hopefully a long running franchise!

I have seen that @JNT_BA is now a full time producer for Rugby 25 so I am hoping we get someone from the BA team on our forum full time for RL to help us make this greatest game of all .

What will be the first thing you do when you install the game?

Turn menu music off, the same as always

I’m still here as well. There just isn’t much we can really say about anything League until after release. I have invited the RL26 Producer to jump on but it’s really up to each one. There will be a new community rep starting in the future who will be my “replacement” as such from my previous role.

Jump on in and play a quick match as the Broncos against Penrith and beat them to get payback on the GF loss finally hahaha

We’ll try to anyway lol might get smacked 50-0!

I get it. But no point after release. Just seems really odd if trying to promote a game. It’s not those in this forum you need to win over. It’s the people who don’t even know it exists.

Finally on the classification board

Inclined to agree, waiting till after release to provide comment on the game seems a bit counter intuitive which could infer a couple things; NRL/SL wanting to control all information or game is somewhat under developed to its potential. Im leaning to the former due to the quality of AFL 26 after having AFL 23 to build upon much like RL 26 to build on previous foundations… strange nonetheless essentially gagging developers if that is the case. I view it if the game is underdone and not letting on, then its a reflection of character not technical ability, its a matter of integrity…being consistently truthful and reliable.

I’ve been thinking about players I want to sign, which made me sad thinking about how basic the previous contract setup was in RLL4 and earlier games. So often you would have a player that you want to keep, they randomly double their asking price, so you let them go. No one ever signs them and they spend the rest of the career in the unsigned section, but their asking price never goes down again.
What I would like.

  1. Fluctuating player prices.
  2. Status - offer starter, bench or reserve. You could potentially sign a reserve player from another club for a bit less if you offer a starting position. Alternatively, players get upset/want to leave if you don’t meet the contract terms.
  3. Players may or may not sign dependent on how many other players you have in their position.
  4. Loyalty. Based on if they’re a junior or club success. Win a comp, players want to stay.
  5. Scout rating, 1-5 stars. The higher your scout rating the more info you get when you look at players/offer contracts. More precise contract length, more accurate cost, wants to start etc.

These aren’t new things, they’ve been in football/soccer games since the 2000’s.
Can anyone who has AFL26 let me know what it’s player contracts are like?

Thanks @JNT_BA !! Knew you would be lurking around in the background - not long to go until the game releases and the flood gates are opened  hoping a few more releases of info this week to wet the appetite but let’s see ! Do you know if there will be any early access to the game for any of the YouTube channel peeps to go in and play it and report their findings like there was with AFL26 a couple of days prior to release day?

I think as long as we get the support from either our RL Games Producer (like you have over in Rugby forum) or your new replacement - most people here are more than willing to provide open, honest and constructive feedback to help RL26 be the best it possibly can be even if there are bugs to iron out because I think we all want the same thing here and that’s to have the best rugby league game there ever has been released thus far and really hoping the teams previous experience in the sport bodes well for us

What time do I start?

When will the game become available on the Steam store? I am of course aware of the release date - but can we expect a pre-purchase page?
