Rugby 25 isn’t really that in-depth game is boring after 4 games janky and pretty much same gameplay from Ai from every game no variation in gameplay.
I will also add don’t get hopes up about leak gameplay is old build and day 1 update will be huge heard and seen it nothing huge changes r25 still in a bad state
Given how nacon/ba have gone about things over the last few years it looks exactly how i expected it to.
Cricket 24 was a carbon copy of cricket 22 with a big marketing push aimed at massively improved fielding. The fielding is terrible with multiple bugs still unresolved.
Rugby 25 is an absolute disasterclass
RLL26 looks to be a copy and paste of an 8 year old game.
Nacon have played a great hand. Aquire a developer that made niche sporting games.
Spend the budget aquiring licenses which could deter competitors. Then have the devs do the absolute minimum creating the new game. Finally release a shoddy, well below par product that people will buy because theres no alternative on the market.

RLL4 with pro teams and a more in depth career than what was in RLL4, tied in with current gen graphics and updated UI would be quite a change. Madden has been worked on constantly since 2017, Rugby League has not been.
I think it will include loads of Rugby League animations from older games … I mean … it is still rugby league so they still work.
Definitely expect to see that expanded on though. Even Rugby 25 has been getting additional animations over time so I would not see this game being any different.
I have minimal expectations for RL26. So just gloss up RLL3/4, make it playable, add the pro teams and a deeper career and all is good for a starter to hopefully a more consistent release schedule and improvements in later games imo.
HOPEFULLY - we don’t see the licensing nightmare they seem to have in BA show up in this game and half the players not have names, faces or stadiums etc without signage and refs wearing rando BA tops like they do in R25. But I would not be shocked if we do either

It needs to be a very polished rll4 though.
Idc about that animations at launch but the gameplay needs to start well.
Offloads shoukd feel smoother, kicking needs to feel more responsive, setplays need to be more in-depth with tactics on how quick your defence moves off the line with a cost of stamina.
The modes will be better im for sure but that wont matter if the gameplay is like half baked like rl4

As much as I agree with your comment … that leaked gameplay makes me think it will still be a bit janky at release. Even after the day one patch … but people will still buy it, like they did RLL4 because there will be no other league games to compete.
Not long to go until we find out either way I guess but I don’t assume things on logical progress from last titles anymore 
After seeing AFL23, TieBreak, Rugby25 … I am prepared for anything

To end with a positive the facescans are fire for 90% of the players.

There is another video on Twitter/X Hullfcfanpage_ is the handle.
Looks similar to the old fanhub menu, showing the 2025 Hull FC team with 2 of their current jerseys, the 3rd alternative jersey is missing.
Likenesses look really good for both previous NRL players and for Hull’s academy and lesser known players.
Not sure the player ratings are what they should be, a few academy players and a semi retired prop are the highest rated so far!..

Theirs a livestream on yt boys! Watch it from the start, Please not ross has confirmed this is a very old build not even version 1.0 and is closer to 0.3 so is very janky still. But graphics look amazing imo same with most player scans!

I must admit I gave up watching after a while as game breaking things like that just really rip my knitting.
If things like that are in game at release they will not be getting my money. Not until underwhelming patch #137 anyway.

The stream is showing off player scans and it looks like none of the the Cowboys got scanned and I noticed a heap of roosters who hadn’t either. THe actual players who are scanned look amazing though
You need to see what we have dealt with on the union game……

I love RLL and own the last two games on steam and console and looks like they have missed the mark again with a rugby game in less than 12 months…….
