Also works fine for me on Steam Deck.

One or 2 crashes but can’t tell early days if that’s Steam Deck related or just because of early access.

Gameplay and everything runs fine though

Works very well on my Asus Rog Ally Z1 Extreme too. Very smooth.

Does it still work after the latest patch?

Does it work offline?

Yes still working. Again I had a random crash here and there but I think that’s to be expected until it’s optimised for Steam Deck.

I haven’t tried playing offline actually I’ve always been connected to WiFi

Still SteamDeck compatible so far…

No offline play though. Now I need to consider if this game will be usefull to me. Rugby 08 is dated but I will be able to play it when I travel.

EA4 still working good. A bit heavy on resources and battery drain.

Stll no offline play :frowning:

I’m playing only on my Asus Rog Ally Z1 Extreme. The game runs very well.

SteamDeck runs well, but the game crashes when trying to access the Graphics settings menu specifically. I tested it 3 times, crashed each time.

Update for EA7. General gameplay on the steamdeck still works.

Had a few instances where the game closes when you download community team.

Still need that offline mode for single play. This game would be a no-go if I only played steamdeck. If I did not take the chance on the early access, it would have been on my avoid list because of this.

Same reason why I am avoiding AFL and Cricket 24 and still playing Rugby 08 as much as 25

A question relating to Steam Deck always online functionality. Is this something that is going to persist in the full game release? With Cricket 24 this wasn’t a requirement and I put a fair amount of hours in on flights etc. where no internet connection was available.

Just wanted to check if this was an early access restriction, or if it is a technical requirement that is going to persist in the full release.

Is this correct can cricket 24 launch and play without being online. Based on the reviews I read it requires an internet connection.

Two additional bugs on the SteamDeck:
Stadium creator does not save the stadium.
Importing the image in the player creator opens the dialog box and then all inputs freezes. Cant even exit the dialog box.

I’m 90% certain it does. I definitely put a lot of hours into the Nintendo Switch version of Cricket 22, and I’m pretty sure a lot of my hours in Cricket 24 on the Steamdeck had been on flights in airplane mode, but there is a chance I’m getting a bit mixed on it.

Ok I checked. All the BigAnt cricket games require online mode.

It was even implemented into the earlier games that was sold without the requirement.

So good to know. Just removed it from wishlist and be stuck with a modded 07 for my travels :frowning:

Ah that’s really disappointing. Guess I must’ve gotten it confused with the Switch version. A bit annoying that it can work in offline mode on one portable console and not another. Not exactly sure what the need is to enforce an always online mode for everything rather than only enforcing it for downloading players/teams or playing online matches.

Just posted a comment in the main thread to say the game won’t seem to launch on Steam Deck anymore

Thanks, following the launch news, this is disappointing and not worth trying out until the first set of patches are released.

Probably needed another 6 to 12 minths of EA.
