Unfortunately this game is becoming rubbish. There have been plenty of updates but the most common errors or the things that should be part of the game are not being fixed.

Defence around the try lines. I would say 90% of the tries scored against me are because you cannot get other players into the tacke to stop the one on one drop down. If they get over the line now they score.

When you are at your oppositions try line in defence you cannot get more than 1 in the tackle so you can’t push them back over the line and 90% of the time if you put a grubber into the ingoal they get out because defenders stand around watching them.

It can’t be too difficult to make it so pressing a button brings in more defenders to assist.

Around the ruck you still have the silly pauses where nothing happens for a second or 2 then the dummy half picks up the ball and tries to run. They do this normally 3 times in a row when they do it.

The AI does short kicks on the last instead of booting it down field more times than they don’t.

After the last update it has become increasingly difficult on your own last plays to get a good kick off because the opposition become supermen and make up the 15 metres to stop you.

Custom games are still only 16 teams even though the NRL has 17 teams. We should at least have the ability for 20.

Custom games and setting only work in play now scenarios and not in custom comps.

The sliders are ridiculous don’t work and if i adjust the defence slider i can’t miss a tackle.

Jerseys are still not up to scratch with the limited designs. RLL4 was the best for jerseys apart from pixelated logos and RLL3 was best for sock designs.

Custom fields don’t allow for putting in hills and you don’t get full use of crowds in areas where there are no seats. There is also very limited objects and the whole design concept is clunky. Hard to position things and harder to remove them if you make a mistake.

Think i will go back to RLL3 at least you could have some decent fun games with that.

This has become a punish.

I’m using a ps5 digital version by the way in case some of you on different consoles or on a pc aren’t experiencing the same issues.

it sucks when you see posts on twitter with them boasting to Andrew Voss about it being the best ever sports game in Australia or something stupid like that. all of us spent $100 for rubbish

I’m sick of my fullback being burned and the opposition scoring from breaks just because it’s so difficult to control the correct player when you want them. They’re the only tries I concede other than when the opposition falls over the line in a tackle, as we all know.

Ah yes, the prop / 2nd rower / fullback who get the ball from the kickoff and head straight up the middle of the field, breaking tackles and stepping through the defenders in front of them, and when you finally get to select your fullback, s/he dives to the side or is just goose-stepped out of the tackle.

Which is frustrating, especially when your player has made a clean break and is heading for the tryline, their fullback, who is chasing, can catch me pretty much on the tryline and somehow push me back 5m, defying all laws of momentum.

Can’t even tap back the ball on the last from a boom cause it says it’s a knock on if it’s backwards.

You can not perform taps successfully on bombs, your called for knocking the ball on..

  1. AI grubbers into your ingoal can’t be stopped your AI team mates just stand there and look around as you try to pick a player closest to the ball lol.
  2. They still haven’t fixed the AI subbing on 2 of the subs on for the whole game either sub 1 and 2 or sub 1 and 4 no point of a bench, so unrealistic.
  3. Player run meters are almost double the Team meters.
  4. These are things that haven’t been touched in months that kill any realism sort it out Big Ant.

Online is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a pvp game. It is actually insane to me how many things can be wrong with a game at once. I’m a decent good player i’ve got like a 90% win rate online and almost all my losses have came from cheese.

70% of the time if someone runs from dummy half right on your try line, it is almost impossible to stop they just walk forward about 5 meters with players on them and get the ball down.

Grubbers on try lines are impossible to stop when playing someone who knows how to play.

The new struggle strip thing happens way too often, one time happened to me 4 times in a half just crazy work.

If a player spams pass there is almost always a chance that they will get a reset from the ball hitting you during the pass.

Tackling without the ball can happen and it almost always happens on the winger where they get tackled and the ball just goes out.

The switching between players is insanely bad especially after completing the tackle you almost have to be the marker or a player behind the ball unless you keep your user on a player away from the play. It is even worse on breaks.

Then you have the times when a loose ball or a kick goes near the sideline you almost always can’t stop your player from collecting that ball and running out.

Short kick offs almost always abused when you play players that know how to do them.

Then there is dummy half cheese where people just run out of dummy every play with an edited player that 90% of the time will break the first tackle so you have to user it everytime .

Just so much wrong with this game when its been out for almost a year and was $100 lol

This is halftime as the siren sounds. 40 minute half. Pro mode PS5. All players are at 100% condition. I made no interchanges during the half. I’m behind 30 to 22 to the Magpies. 5 of the 6 tries the Magpies scored are from the ridiculous drop down 1 defender in the in goal. The developers really don’t understand Rugby League and every update is making the game go backwads from what i am experiencing.

For goodness sake Big Ant fix this game!

Why after a kick-off does the camera zoom to the half way line my players all stand around and 1 of the AI players runs and picks up the ball of the tee from the half way line jeez louise fix your damn game.

Another one, after a successful captains challenge the next screen it goes to the AI getting a penalty lol what.

This game is beyond broken.

Haven’t seen those ones yet. Did notice the other day all knock ons that go to the video ref are now in favour of the team challenging

I had 3 in a game that were deadset knockons and they ruled them ok.

Every update seems to bring new faults.

It’s so annoying.

I just don’t get why Big Ant don’t check out gameplay over a period of time before rolling out these updates the bugs and glitches are literally right there.

They haven’t even fixed the AI only using sub 1 and 2 or 1 and 4 yet and that has been an issue since launch.

C’mon Big Ant.

Does anyone know the point in emailing them if they don’t listen? I’ve emailed them about little fixes (birthdays, preferred foot) that they are still yet to fix despite saying they will. Honestly, they are a disgraceful company

Does anybody else just not have any challenges at all on pro team? I’m seeing no new challenges on the game at all so it makes it boring having nothing to grind towards or play to do.

Seems in an attempt to stop a player running the ball into touch when getting to a last play kick near the sideline they have introduced the no catch come off the head or body into touch. This is amatuer hour. Every update makes the game more sillier.

I have my defence line standing facing their own try line on heaps of occassions now. Not just 1 or 2 players but the majority of the line and they don’t turn around until an attacking player gets near them.

If you don’t use the custom settings and just use the default ones there are now over a hundred missed tackles in a 60 minute game.

AI seems to get 3 into a tackle when you get over the line to stop you scoring but you can’t get 2 into a tackle on most occassions when they get into the in goal.

It also appears you can no longer attack a a bomb you have kicked. Your player who gets to the contest just stands watching the opposition catch it.

The custom creators still way less variety than the previous game RLL4.

Match creator only works in play now games.

Logo creator is cumberson and the colours are not what you want them to be.

Stadium creator is no where near as good as in RLL4.

Still yet to see any of the crowd wear a jersey like they did in every other game of Rugby League these guys have made.

Jersey creator doesn’t have the variety of choices like RLL3 had. RLL4 was a step back and this is 3 steps backs.

If they keep going down this track i expect it will be totally unplayable in a few months. Maybe everyone should direct their emails to the NRL to make them aware how bad this game has become.

The “Share Your Team” ones have been missing for weeks now. Also noticed the Stadium cards have had their names removed. Why ? who knows

They don’t care anymore if they ever did, the amount of crazy issues in just the last week I’ve never seen until now make this game close to unplayable.

I had Hammer glitch like the Flash from one part of the field to make 10 metres not even running it was literally the Flash, to from kickoff all my players standing on the line still in formation waiting for 1 AI player to run and pick up the ball off the tee on the halfway line after I had already kicked the ball, yes I’m not lying to as you mentioned the FB letting the ball bounce off themselves to go into touch.

They got their $ 100 off us so they’re good, absolute cash grab at it’s finest.
