Update 14 Novembre = Great

The iA has been greatly improved

No more powerful returns on our serve :+1:

It varies a lot, it uses the slice, drop shot…

And first time since January, i see IA use Serve voley  Djokovic did it against me ^^

I play on Expert mode.

What do you thing now ?

I am embarressed to say this is a great improvement but i have not won a game yet after 2 sets 0-6 0-4 at the moment and that is on hard difficulty. I am Alcaraz vs cpu Tommy Paul and now he does many dropshots, slices and has hit the ball clearly long and also double faulting. My problem at the start was i could not change direction and was flat footed many times but i am starting to get the hang of it now,i am winning points just not winning any games yet,the dropshots from the cpu are really good and it is going to take a lot of us time to get uded to the varied gameplay from the cpu but this is how we wanted it,i am sure i will adjust soon. I might go and just check out what Medium difficulty looks like for the other players. Great job devs. PS- where are the ATP and WTA rankings they said was added is it only in career also nice to see the umpires have been given names now.

well, the gameplay is better now overall, the game is on the harder side also now

the Al return issue is mostly solved which is great

but there is one main concern is the lack of AL unforced error, almost zero non existing, the al is going for more winners now and more drop shots and hes always successful without errors

serving effect is better but not perfect
we need more atp men players to be added last 2 weeks only ladies

I just played a game against Federer expert level, i loved the variation of his game, of his shots selection.
I don’t know if this is a feature or random, but IA Federer did double fault when i was going to break him two times, like he used to choke against Djokovic.
Overall, i think expert level can make overall better serve to balance it better, i mean more regulary good serves, right now most of their serve are almost second serve.

Great update in general. Played a couple of matches (hard and expert - full 3 sets) and it feels good.

But one of the main issues (at least for me) is still present - the lack of any AI errors during the game (or their serves). They are still not able to hit long and wide from time to time while attacking (or even while defending). The only errors they are still making are hitting the net (which also looks like are happening far less compared prior to the last week’s update).

Big Ant, could you please implement this.

al unforced erros

and the slice return of Al need fix the ball is bouncing too low, smtimes only one bounce

Thank you developers for your work @MikeM @JNT_BA, this is pretty good update. In my opinion the best which have ever been released. Please, don’t change AI too much at this state cause I really like its variability, unpredictable play and finally good net behaviour. Well done!

Ai serve is still weak and ai make just few errors. And rallies still left right , right left  but in overall good patch. When i return with slice i win almost all points lol and all players have same playstyle. Please add serve and volley or something. Pericard is not field player
P.S Developers add arthur fils please

Short and to the point…Very nice step forward when it comes to AI behaviour! Still loads of stuff to do when it comes to mechanics

Well i could hardly win a game on Hard difficulty last night,i would win plenty of points but could not win games getting to dueces but the cpu would still win the games and i was losing 0-6 but still loving the varied gameplay. I did have the cpu hitting shots long not sure about wide yet. I even tried Medium difficulty and the cpu is really good and varied also. this is how Tiebreak should have been released at launch. I will come back fresh today and have a serious run on the game as it was late last night and i was pretty tired and just beaten by great varied gameplay from the cpu that i was not prepeared for which was incredible, great job devs.

After more testing I would mention two things:

  • AI makes no long or wide errors
  • Timing of shots is still too forgiving, especially flat. I believe that’s going to be addressed by sliders in upcoming updates.

Been getting quite a few errors against lower rated players, mostly long & a few into the net but not seen any wide errors yet.Against high rated players is a different matter though with zero errors. This was on Hard & Medium.Still loving the gameplay with todays update, seems to play the best it’s been since release on PS5.

Tommy Paul cpu on Hard hit the ball long 3 times in one set but have not seen wide shots go out yet so it does happen,i am struggling to win on hard difficulty as i have not adjusted yet to the great varied gameplay even Medium difficulty now will be a test for a lot of the casuals, the few games i tried on Medium the cpu was hitting really good winners and using all the varied gameplay of the higher difficulties but not hitting the quality shots too often which is perfect.

I tried medium & they play a really varied game now. This is the best patch we’ve had so far. Please leave the ai as it is but just add a few more unforced errors from the higher rated players.

Yes easily the best patch as i could win easily on Hard before and first try last night i lost 0-6 struggling to get used to the varied gameplay but i was improving just before calling it a night. I have not even looked at expert as for me the way it is now a lot of us will be really happy on Medium and Hard which is how it always should have been as Expert should only be for the more elite players. This is how Tiebreak should have been released on launch date.

Just played as Medvedev against Sinner on hard & he battered me 6-0 6-2.Loved every minute of it but my only criticism was that Sinner was coming to the net a little bit too often.Todays patch just swung it back to Tiebreaks favour ahead of Tennis Elbow4 for the best tennis game on the PS5 for me.

I hated TE4 for with a passion on xbox in June and got a full refund saying i could not load the game LOL. I struggled to even move properly and the movement of the players is comical. Tiebreak is clearly the best now,Topspin 2k25 is dead.

TE4 is great when you get used to it & im enjoying it a lot,but your right the movement in that game is comical.Animations are fantastic in Topspin but that’s about all that’s good about it.

Where do you see the new ATP and WTA rankings in the game as said in update notes,i thought i was going to see the players ranking next to their name. Good to see the umpires have name s now nice little added touch.

guys ur losing 6 0, u need to practice lol… i hope they will patch the zero unforced errors for the AL without making major changes to the current, the game will be very balanced then
