As it seems the game is coming to the end of the road in terms of further updates, I’d just like to say that, though far from perfect, Rugby 25 is a whole lot better now than it was at launch. There is fun and satisfaction to be had among the frustration, and the developers deserve credit for sticking with the game for 18 months now, which I think is longer than other rugby titles have been updated for.
If I could request three final improvements before the whole thing is declared a wrap, I would ask for the following:
An intelligent, coherent kicking game from the AI, one which does NOT involve running the ball out from their own 22 at 0-0 or kicking the ball dead when losing.
A system of reorganising the forwards following a red card that allows the punished player’s position to be covered by a suitable sub (thus avoiding the bizarre sight of the scrum half competing at lineouts). ( I acknowledge that I may be missing something here and that perhaps there IS a way of avoiding this situation.)
A fairer scrum resolution system - it’s incredibly frustrating to be punished for collapsing the scrum when you’ve executed everything perfectly and haven’t been given any prior option to get the ball out.
These are my particular bugbears, what do other members of the forum think?
For me its my players not running into the ball when passed too which goes in line with lagging support lines.
I’d also like the goal kicking to be reworked as its too easy at the moment.
I don’t understand why the camera angle doesn’t have the goal post centred (its centre when setting up distance from the try line). You’re forced to kick Dan Carter banana kicks from the sideline which is very unrealistic.
I’m not a fan of the full arch guide. It should be..
Set up angle (to adjust for wind) with a small arrow from the ball (similar to Rugby 22) and distance from goal posts

Then pull back and push forward stick for power up and make the kick. The power of the kick is consistent no matter were you kick. So a sitter should no require a long power up. This should make sideline conversations harder without an arch. Any degrees left or right should she amplified depending on how much the kick is powered up.
I understand this likely wouldn’t be implemented for this game at this stage of the cycle, but would like this for any future union/league games that BA make
