Sounds like a good addition, my understanding it’s basically kicking to space and allowing your players to run onto it, rather then a kick down the line to a standing contest ?
It’ll help in situations where you want to kick it into certain spaces for sure, or get a more precise distance on the kick for a leading target. Adds a bit more of a skill curve to get the benefits out of it in my opinion.

Is there any indication of which ‘legends’ are going to be included in Season 3?
are we ever getting better packs than emerald in the store don’t wanna keep wasting fp for a 2% chance at a diamond or bad odds on sapphires

I sorta like that Sapphie and Diamond packs are the hard slog in either Premiership Challenge or Level Progression. Otherwise, they’ve surely gotta cost like 100k Footy Points or like 20k coins if they’re added to the store…

i agree with that but considering we’ve now got 99 overalls would it not make sense to increase premiership and level progression rewards to higher tier packs so then there is still a valuable aspect to those, but for players with already good teams they can upgrade them a decent amount with sapphire packs in store.
while i like parts of the new season, i noticed apart from the patrick cripps the rest of the levels are relatively the same tiers and rewards as last season from what i saw

Bias as an Essendon supporter but would love to see a jobe watson as a level 40 card
feel like the face scanning or whatever is used wouldn’t be too hard since he’s still involved with afl through commentary
Just watched a bit of the gameplay, I have to be honest this addition changes the way the game looks and feels. Always annoying when your looking to kick to space or a lead over the back, now thats eliminated and will feel more like an AFL Live of old

Wondering what the logic is behind the different animations for the pack openings?
I was happy with the first one, but then they introduced the lightning effect and now I see there is a freeze effect.
Is this going to be a season by season thing, or just that you have a budding meteorologist on the books there at Big Ant?
My pro team keeps crashing every time I click premiership challenge, is this happening to anyone else
Which team do you support and are they traditional rivals of Carlton? It’s usually the issue.

Just had my first game trying the new kick style, very useful for kicking to space and opening up the ground. I can see a few players getting annoyed over using it close to the boundary line and kicking it out on the full a lot but that comes down to skill of the new control.
I feel this could maybe bring small forwards back into the equation who have great speed as they should be able to get to the drop zone quicker, i’ll have to try it myself and look forward to hearing if the rest of you might start doing the same !!

Yeah small forwards definitely have more of a presence now, especially when you catch the opposition out the back
