Even still, they wouldn’t make enough profit off it now. Destroying any hope of future releases. Which I’m sure then everyone will complain about. They may as well fix everything up for the next game where they can make a profit. We have to remember this is a business, as nice as it would be it’s not logical to sink so much time, money and resources into a game that was killed hype wise at launch. What we really need is a fresh start.
They do have a lot of interest in making a good AFL game as well, why wouldn’t they?
No point of complaining anymore mate cause big ant do not care about the rest of the fans who play management mode and only care for the pro team fans and update it and recycling the same players over again. I was very disappointed cause i had high hopes and thought we going to have a different management mode but its the same generic mode like the evo games. I guess we cant tell big ant how we really feel and get our comments deleted. I have low expectations for the next game if they going to be. Funny how its still 100 bucks on steam
Too many people in here suck up so much and refuse to say one bad word about the game so they blindly just accept mediocrity. They expect everyone else to do the same so you get told off when you bring up a good point such as its not respectful to the consumer that you refuse to update a mode in your game that is broken.
Criticism of the game is fine.
We can all see gaps, and places where we’d like improvement. (For me, my number 1 thing would be the Switch Player logic).
But It’s about doing it constructively and respectfully. Unfortunately for me, Switch Player isn’t getting an update in this game, and unfortunately for you, Management Mode isn’t getting an update either.
But we can both submit our ideas for fixes and improvements, and hope for a future that takes these into account.
The recycled players complaints about PT is just annoying to read, how about you look at the numbers
FC25 Ultimate team - Over 17,000+ players to choose from
AFL - 800 per season
Obviously it would be amazing to have players that go back to the inaugural 1990 season of the AFL but the behind the scene logistics would be a challenge.
So until these can be rectified and approved through the necessary parties, we just have to cop that different versions of cards have to be done.
It’s their first crack at PT with more learning to come from their other titles, I think it’s a good first crack and it will only get better going forward.
If your post reads like a set of suggestions, bugs and (specific!) issues from what I have seen it will stay.
If you snipe and criticize the company and say nothing of value or go on about old AFL games being a hundred times better then you’ll probably get modded.
If you need to vent BF, FB and Reddit have been specialising in vitriol since launch. You are not stuck for choice. I imagine it’s part of the reason why this board went live.
Sometimes JT will say that something doesn’t get done due to size of effort and there was a post once about needing to rewrite code from scratch in some areas. Clearly the game is in maintenance mode, it’s not ideal but we are where we are and there’ll be limited returns making 23 stellar, especially if work has started on the next one.
see i don’t disagree that maybe i could just give suggestions for the next iteration, but they won’t listen and don’t care, i feel like you must me some sort of employee for them, they’ve obviously never given you anything but you still defend them to the end of the earth for some reason, your trying so hard to be different, big ant are smug with how they have replied to there fans asking for basic things from the start, same reason less people will buy the second one, way too unreliable and horrible community support means a game that got hype for the first one, will have fair expectations for the next, bye border, this is my last reply in this ever which i know makes you happy, i just hope you remember your irrelevance to them and stop trying to stick up for a corporation searching for ways to make money, start sticking up for the people in the community who are asking for basic things, sure it’s a 2 year old game mate, one they update with packs, to everyone who doesn’t play protean it feels like big ant (and yourself) just laugh and call us idiots for making suggestions
Mate 9-10 months ago I mentioned in this forum that the down the line kicking was very robotic and it would be great if you could aim where you could place the kick into space, few months later they implement that new feature into the game.
So to say they don’t take on fan base suggestions is ludicrous.
This has been by far my favourite feature since returning to play.
@tazzahosk It’s the people like you who make such a big deal of everything that Border is constantly pulling up. “Bye this is my last reply”, mate you’re not doing a mic drop get over yourself. Some one us have been in this forum from day dot, we lived through the days in here of PT delay, stuck in the mud movement and the XBOX ordeal. We’re just so happy to see how far this game has come. Yes $100 is a bit steep, but I’ve for sure gotten my money’s worth with how much I’ve played. Not once have BA called anyone an idiot, it’s the way some people have approached their displeasure that is the problem.
TLDR except the end, guess I’ll catch you on one of your other accounts!
Going to funny if a new game comes along and these people are still here, still complaining. Talk about doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome…
Big Ant have never been smug in their replies to any of my suggestions… but then again, my approach to requests and suggestions hasn’t been the same as some others on here…
There have also been plenty of my suggestions that haven’t had replies… that haven’t made it into this game… and for all I know, there MIGHT be good reason (i.e game balancing, risk of breaking other areas, time/effort/cost, other future plans etc.).
But I know not to bite the hand that feeds… If I went on the attack, then logically, there is very little chance that my opinions will be heard.
For anything still missing…I don’t lose any sleep over it… I’m not getting out my pitch-fork, or boycotting Big Ant games…
It’s a video game. For my $89 I’ve had a plenty to enjoy… That amount doesn’t even cover date night with the missus…2 mains and a drink each is well over $100 at most places… so it’s not about sucking up… it’s about being reasonable.
@JNT_BA I know Management mode and injuries have been flogged by a horse and it’s been explained about them happening in game, but has the idea been raised at all about the injury occurring after the game has been played? Similar to how the injury tick happens after a sim.
