The launch was a disaster.
The main selling point of the game being delayed by over a year after launch was an even bigger disaster.
The fact that only a small fraction of the initially announced legends have made it into the game, as well as the 2025 draftees not being face-scanned into the game, suggests that the AFL are not as ā10000% committedā as they used to be.
After everything thatās happened in the last 2 years it would be plain naive to suggest that BA keeping the license is anywhere near a certainty.
If it were as simple as this TruBlu wouldnāt have held the license for nearly a decade.
If I had to bet on it Iād lean towards BA getting another shot, and I hope they do, but Iām not super confident.
I think seeing that the last set of patch notes released on steam were on the 10th of April 2024, makes me really think all resources are elsewhere
Re: Tru Blu, WW changed their line of business and - idle speculation - with the Nacon acquisition BA were in a better position to move in.
Thereās probably a half decent story behind the scenes, not that weāll ever find out.

To the people giving @JNT_BA a hard time I sure hope you guys arenāt over the age of 18 because Iāve never seen so much ranting and complaining over a video in quite some time this game is 2 years old now everybody should be thankful the game is still getting an update this late into a release AFL Evo had 2 season update and that was it. Be thankful that there can be a community that actually has a game. Rant and complain all you want but for god sake you guys are acting like they are 2k or Ea sports. If you think yous can do better then go and do it.

that just doesnāt make sense, they are constantly updating proteam and anything that brings in money, but anything basic people want to fix the gameplay they have no interest in hearing, no one CAN give making an AFL game a go because no one has the licensing, and how are you seriously gonna compare it to evo? evo was made for old gen consoles and updates were near impossible on some games, this game CAN be fixed, they just have no interest in doing it, if they gave some sort of announcement that they were making a new one, i promise people would stop complaining asking them to update the old one, but if this is what we get as the next afl game for the next 5 years its pretty fair to be critical of the lack of care for non profit based things, seeing as (by this forum and other things) management carrer and seasons are game modes a lot of fans enjoy, big ants problem last year was setting a release date and putting it out before it was done, just give the fans something to look forward to if this one is done

You see, the problem with this is youāve mostly made a bunch of stuff up. Games on the previous console generations were not hard to update. They have ALWAYS had interest in hearing feedback when itās presented in a reasonable manner. Itās the ones who carry on with over the top hyperbolic crap that get axed or ignored. As for the basic comment, how would you even know how basic anything is to update? JNT has even explained how complex it would be in this iteration. Again, the answer is there itās just not the one you want to hear so you ignore it. I reckon if I heard multiple times over many many months that there was going to be no further updates to the mode in this iteration Iād probably say ok hereās my feedback for the NEXT iteration if you make oneā¦. Iād like it if it had x,y,zā¦

If you donāt like the game or canāt play then the game isnāt for you. End of story. No need to complain this hard about a video game. I get people are passionate about afl but some of the things that have been said is outright rude & disrespectful. Because there video game isnāt 100% realistic to probably the hardest sport to create in a video game. You donāt need ālicensingā to make and AFL game plenty of nba & soccer games that arenāt licensed.

100%! Especially if it came with (even minor) fixes to management mode.
The default team lineups are still pretty whack - Dons with no McKay, Caddy, Durham, Perkins, Tsatas, etc in the starting side isā¦ odd.
Hobbs on a wing, Caldwell still listed a fwd for some reason, Caddy & Ridley not listed as key position types. Not sure if this sort of stuff is the same for other clubs but Iād assume so.
I see Tom Edwards has been added to the list (maybe because he was already in the game in a WAFL team?) but no other rookies, which is so disappointing.

my player didnāt sell in auction house, now itās just stuck there and i canāt relist it or get it out
