I hope so! We ps5 users are missing out on the new teams and content eg. Editing players etc.

Iv noticed alot whilst playing on management mode tactics I use against one team will work really well and I can dominate. I’ll run the same tactics on the next team and I won’t be able to play the same way as the previous game, I mess around with the tactics until I find what works and start winning again.
I played a season on hard with 5 min quarters and finished with 21 wins 2 loses. For 1585 and against 850. Play around with tactics until you find what works and you can really exploit each team

I’d rather wait and let them test it properly than release a buggy patch that’s gonna set the game back.

Same here. I’ll patiently wait and give @RossSymons and his team all the time they need for any patches. I’ll put up with the ai and their bizarre behavior (I kinda love their behavior running around in circles).

I remember asking Ross on BigFooty whether adaptive ai will play a part in management and he responded in the affirmative. Saying that teams will figure you out and the player will need to adjust the way they play. I guess it’s working in some way from what you are saying. Will be interesting when ba adds in more tactics in the future.

No not really, ps5 can’t roll back patches if there is a problem,whereas in steam you can, with the more recent patches being kinda big (a few gb) might as well release it on steam (they can roll back. If it’s buggy) have the ps5&ps4 patch go through external testing also and release it when ready. Rather that, then a new patch breaking the ps version.

Yeah I remember him saying that and it definitely felt that way throughout my first season. There was one game I played, was down all game, couldn’t figure Essendon out. Was down by 5 goals from memory going into the last. I tweaked my tactics to attacking, high forwards, a full zone and through the corridor. Suddenly the last quarter everything went right I kicked 7 goals to 0.2 and was such a satisfying win. Literally couldn’t do anything the whole game until the last.
Teams definitely figure you out and you can figure them out. Definitely pays to play around with tactics

And if ya get your tactics wrong……….you lose the game in the last quarter……….happened to me far too often, thinking I can go defensive in the mid, go full zone in defence and then have the oppo tear you a new one in the mid and stab pass their way through your defence…….fml

100% you can get some very rewarding wins or some very disappointing loses. The games definitely in a good place and looks only to be heading in the right direction. Being on the ride from launch to now… the game is super fun. Sure the bugs a present but I’ve learnt to ignore them for the most part.

Could we possibly add a Scenario game mode like in afl 2004? Where you recreate historical matches or where we can play as the other team to change the result?
Eg the 2018 GF, if you play as west coast, you’re 5 goals down at QT, you must come back and win. You could even add certain tasks we need to hit as well or else you fail, such as Dom Sheed needs to kick a goal or you fail the challenge.
And if you played as Collingwood, Dom Sheed just kicked the goal, you’re down by 5 points and you must win in the dying minutes.
Would be a lot of fun to have that for every team and a few different scenarios each

Will there be a new AFL game every year with all the new players for next season? or will this game keep getting patches for a few years!
I don’t want this franchise to go down the path of FIFA having to buy a ‘new’ game for $100 each year. I’d reckon one game should last about 3 years with regular patches and player trade updates.
I wanna buy afl23 but don’t want it to be old in just 6 months.
Ie - will there be an AFL 24 game?
So we need an internet connection to just play ‘offline’? I only use the internet to update the game and to use the community creations server. Will we be able to have AFL23 offline in the future @RossSymons ?
