I think you’ll find with every game now days that you’ll need an internet connection for updates and patches that come out.
It’s not necessarily needing internet for offline play, it’ll be only required to update. FIFA, 2K, everything will be exactly the same.
Oh, that’s weird. Has an update come out or it’s just randomly happened. Lol you don’t have to have a cry about it, I’m just re-quoting what Ross the boss said about offline and updates.
I asked that on BigFooty a while back but they said not this time, but maybe in the next version.

You would assume so. But no, you literally need internet to even access the main menu and play any aspect of the game. Moved house a month back, and as you can imagine, it was frustrating times.
@RossSymons @JNT_BA hey guys is this the patch that is being tested but for ps4/5? Or is it this one plus something else that you’ve held back for steam so it can all come out at once??
Is it fair to assume, given that we were told weekly ps5 updates and the fact it’s been 2 weeks now, that the ps5 updates have not been passing the testing?

Tbh id rather wait while they iron out the bugs and get a good patch that plays well.
Everyone complains when the patches are buggy as hell but then no one wants to wait for good gameplay…
This is a really hard question to give an answer to without getting everyone’s hopes up about what it will include, so I’ll try my best to answer it.
There will be more than what is there in those specific notes, but at the same time although they are the notes we pushed out for the 21st of June steam patch there are always small changes that don’t need their own patch notes that will go out with each patch for things we noticed along the way.
I know I pushed a few thousand lines of added code to the part of the game I work on which is a very minor part but it’s something I enjoy doing when I get some time, purely visual nothing gameplay-wise, and won’t have an effect on 99% of the experience as I am nowhere near as talented as an actual programmer. Some people noticed some people don’t, but it doesn’t need its own note.
We also keep working on things once a patch is submitted to be reviewed so other things will be kept being worked on be it a small or large addition to the game. But those updates will also need to be tested to make sure they’re ready to go.
Through the process, as support tickets get submitted we also work on those things to add to each patch, again can be very quick to address very fringe cases without taking the time of a programmer who will be working on gameplay or other specific and integral systems. Which also doesn’t need a note for every little thing possible.
While I know some people are overly excited and want to know exactly when the patch is coming out or how far along the process is. These questions are very hard to answer, I know I have gotten a number of reports of “spam” when the system triggers someone asking the question of “when” constantly. We will tell you as soon as we can, constantly asking when won’t get the answer or the patch out quicker.

Thx for the reply mate. I feel everyone’s frustration. Im a huge supporter of Big Ant’s products but when you see messages that say Steam updates will roll out most days and PS updates will move to weekly and you see next to nothing, people will get frustrated and lose faith. I for one havent played the game for a couple of weeks…its human nature. The disappointment is huge right now and we have nothing to hang our hats on. Im disappointed for you, your team and everyone here…we all want to play and enjoy it. I know you guys are working hard but its been 2 months. I also appreciate that you guys have no obligation in being here and providing the updates that you do…so thanks!

There’s one thing that is driving me insane at the moment. I like to play a bit of a hand-balling game to break out of contests or just to play through the middle.
One thing that makes me want to send my controller, every time I hand all wether it’s in a contest, getting tackled, not getting tackled whatever it is my handballs always go directly to the opponent.
It’s like my handballs are bugging out and are being sent to the AI instead of to my player. Is this a bug that I am unaware of? It happens far to often and consistently to not be a bug
