It is one heck of a grind. Feel like I’ve been playing a couple games a day for most of the season and I’m level 31 with my first FOs just about to drop. The first half of Daicos sure takes a minute.
I just wish the benefits of playing on easy weren’t so compelling. Clearances, tackles, CPs, in a perfect world you’d be rewarded for grinding these on hard and it would be a lot more enjoyable in the process.
I wonder if some type of weighting could be looked at - XP is .8 on easiest and 1.2 on hardest, why not apply this scaling to the objectives? Just one extra tab in the match results that converts the values. It could also unlock a new set of booster cards to incentivize how you play a specific game. Probably getting a bit ahead of myself but it feels like the kernel of an idea.
From a player perspective it’s just a little fatiguing that playing on easy or easiest is the clear best option 99% of the time.
Going to go out on a limb here and say BA will keep their powder dry. But I think this season will end around Christmas which is fantastic, last year was a real headache needing to be grinding in early Jan to have any chance of finishing the season .
Before I go - one thing i love - the way the AI now considers kicking left and right when kicking out from defence. Doesn’t happen every time and I’m not sure exactly when it was introduced but it adds a lot, well done.
Hey all! Ive made an edit to the academy of all the moves from trade week up until now, and i just wanted to get a general idea as to why the AI moves charlie curnow from the forward pocket from the swans and puts him in the reserves and not playing at all when i start a season mode, but he is listed in the lineup as forward pocket, same as a few other players from teama, just wondering if thats the AI just being silly or if its me doing something wrong thanks!
I’ve got Gawn, Heeney and Sheez. Currently mulling over whether to grind for Daicos, one too many slow grind objectives to justify it being locked as a sequential goal imo. The ~500 possessions for sapphire role rivals followed by 190 clearances stand out in particular.
I doubt I’ll make it to level 40, still 100k to go and the rewards for 36 - 40 are pretty modest. Why level 40 doesn’t give you a must have card I’ll never understand.
Having said that still enjoying it overall. No doubt BA will continue to fine tune the reward structure.
Yes there’s some longer grinds in the Daicos one, but once you get through the 190 clearances it’s pretty quick.
I actually thought I wouldn’t get there initially and chucked my R13 TOTW card up on the Auction House. I luckily got through the 190 clearances in 3 games and was then desperate for the card to not sell! Fortunately for me it didn’t and I knocked off the last 3 as soon as I got it back.
It’s now back up for Auction to hopefully make some PTC to grab some other cards down the track.
I got to level 40 a couple weeks ago, I had about 200 odd clearances to get for the heeney card and planned to grind it this week then BF6 came out and i ran out of time
I only just got to level 25 this season. Got Ashcroft done, but didn’t get Gawn which I’m upset I’ll miss (I feel that Good Rucks are really OP in Premiership Challenges). The others I’m not too concerned about missing though.
I like this… Premiership Challenge with a dedicated pack as the prize… which, by the end of the season, could have some damn good (or rare) Fire Obsidian cards in it.
A bit of a mystery but some good incentive to play this mode now.
