Pretty sure i congratulated Big ant and Nacon but hey you do you. I’m just stating facts considering i have every British minor rugby league comp but not the Aussie ones. Maybe Big ant should have told us there was an issue and it wouldn’t be in there before we paid for it. You keep whingeing about us though. Some of us have helped them with bugs and such that are in the game. What input other than rubbishing us have you given them.

Why does my marker always start moving in the opposite direction of the way the play is going? … every time though it is the exact opposite of my input?

Why does my player always pass the wrong way when receiving kick offs or from 1st tackles when near touch?

Why is the defensive switching so horrible? The amount of times I switch to the fullback without pressing LB and RB is crazy, if it isn’t him it is almost always the guy on the wrong shoulder to make the tackle.

The controls are so cumbersome on defence.

Still can’t believe the 2 player issue is not fixed when 2nd player can’t scroll subs and needs player 1 pad then there own to select The player

Hey team, thanks for some of the trophy/achievement fixes but there is still 4 trophies that noone has unlocked across playstation and xbox. These are the 4 that are glitched at the moment:

[Here, You Have It] Perform 100 offloads to receivers across all matches

[We Are The Champions] Win an NRL or Super League Premiership competition

[Unstoppable] With one team go through an NRL or Super league season without conceding a loss

[Charge!]Perform a sucessful charge down to prevent a field goal

Came here to ask the same thing. I thought it was just the offloads and two competition ones that were broke though. True achievements has marked them as unobtainable and RL26 as not possible to complete which obviously puts people off playing/buying the game if they’re a fan of trophies etc only a small market but it is a market

For the challenges:

I have sapphire big hitter Simm and his tries aren’t counting for the season challenge to meet Marshall’s 29 tries scored by super league 2025 players.

I understand the starter players not counting to any of these challenges (just) but he is a packed 2025 super league player.

Kinda fed up of challenges being stupidly difficult to understand. For example, I’m assuming the play a game full of sapphire players probably won’t allow him to count, just like the bronze starter players didn’t for that challenge.

In offline matches if you change alternate numbering it reverts back to alternate numbering and either the halfback ahs the wrong number or is on the wrong side of the field

Yes, I find either setting doesn’t actually fix the issue.

BUG: Every time I create a hole to put a player through they hust dead fish it and let the ball bounce of their chest or body for a knock on. Why?
BUG: McDonald Jones Stadium is still around the wrong way with the shade casting the opposite side.
BUG: Animations after Trys and Conversions have players running into the crowds instead of back to their side of the field. Why?
BUG: Why do the markers sometimes ditch and run into the crowd exposing my defensive line? This often happens after kicking the ball out on a kick off where the opposition restarts at my 40 m line?
BUG: Can we fix it ourselves? Gameplay sliders. When?
BUG: Game clock starts at 39:59 minutes? Players that play the full game are set at 79 minutes. Should be 80.
BUG: After I grubber a ball and the opposition regains it, a HELD IN TACKLE penalty is blown even though the player isn’t on the ground yet in a 2-man tackle animation. Why?
BUG: Why when I put up a bomb does NONE of my players chase sprint the ball? Even in control of one of those players I still can’t sprint like I normally would?
BUG: Short kick offs. My players won’t challenge for the ball. Occasionally, very rarely, the winger will nab it 2 m from the sideline but this is hard to pull off.
BUG: HIGH TACKLES. I’m sick of the constant high tackles. I want to tackle low like in RLL2 and risk them offloading the ball. I hate having a run up off a kick off and knowing if I don’t pull out I’ll high tackle and then my player will be suspended for 2-4 weeks. Sick of it. Please fix this. It’s either high tackle or let him bust through 3 players to score downfield…
BUG: Commentary. I don’t appreciate the (paraphrasing), “Why are they making a change here? He’ll want to save them for later.” “Why are they interchanging? That’s strange…” Well, because it’s 24 minutes into the half and my players are 40% so need a sub? Game seems to think I’m playing 80 minute games which is silly because no one is doing that. 10 minutes on Pro and 15 on Veteran/Legend. Although, the amount of line breaks you get and the AI are not realistic. 27-24? What? The other AI simmed games have their matches around 14-18 per game. The balance is just too far off here. Would love a simulation game box like in NHL games when you simulate and it runs down the clock, shows shots, hits, goals, penalties etc. I wish RL26 had this for Career Mode games. Would help a lot.
BUG: AI hooker freaks out seeing my markers offside and sometimes runs straight through (this needs to be fixed and has been overstated) but he also does a spinny rooney and chucks it left or right for a forward pass after realising one of my markers got onside.

Thanks for the minor updates recently. Has helped the gameplay better. I think I’m going to take a break now from this game and come back in a couple months and see if these things have been addressed or not as well as everybody else here that had issues with the game.

I’ve got to say, kudos to the team for the last couple of updates. The game feels so good now and way better than RLL4 for mine. That said, playing a lot of games against the CPU, I’ve got some notes and “nice to haves”.

  • Clock runs after conversion even in last 5 minutes
  • Custom team lineup as set in editor reverts after playing a game
  • Editing lineups resets half length
  • Random “held in tackle” penalties mid tackle animation
  • Many knock ons are “accidental offside”
  • Unstoppable in-goal animation still a thing - way more often for CPU, actual players get held up frequently
  • Offside markers automatically tackle even when controlled by you
  • No way to manually remove marker (e.g. to drop fullback)
  • AI can hot potato pass at line, you either drop ball or get tackled
  • Sidestep wrong way
  • Need a “copy colour” option a la Rugby 25. It’s painful atm

Why do your AI team mates just let the AI run in between both of them, neither of them attempt to move in and tackle just stand in the same spot like they’re a Gargoyle during the day

Since the most recent update I am receiving an error message when I click on the match result after simulating a game. Instead of showing the match stats a “something went wrong error message from Sony” pops up.

    • Defenders could try to slow it down—but at the risk of conceding a penalty.
  • Balancing Suggestion:
    • Excessive wrestling = risk of sloppy PTB/turnover.
    • Excessive holding down = penalty.
    • Adds realism and strategic control to the ruck battle.
  • Team: Gameplay, Animation, Rules Engine

3. Kick Chasing Speed Control

  • Issue: During bombs, chasers appear to follow a guided path and can’t manually speed up.
  • Suggestion: Allow chasers to use a burst of speed (e.g., at stamina cost) to contest deeper kicks.
  • Gameplay Impact: Creates more varied and competitive bomb contests—without breaking realism.
  • Team: Gameplay, Controls

4. Defender Selection Issues

  • Issue: Selecting defenders mid-play feels unreliable, often switching to the wrong player—especially noticeable on broadcast camera.
  • Suggestion: Add a control option (e.g., A on Xbox) to always select the nearest defender.

There’s too much cheap stuff going on in defence in this game that is becoming more than annoying.

I get that maybe they’re trying to add a layer of difficulty to the game but this just seems so cheap and the wrong way to go about it:

  • controlled/selected defensive marker running in the complete opposite direction to what you’re holding on the Left Stick. Making the ruck so messy.

  • player switching in defence is abysmal most of the time, taking 3 to 5 presses of the button to select the obvious player. Nearly always having to press L1 or R1 multiple times every play.

  • L1 + Right Stick player switch changing in the wrong direction to what you press.

  • hold the player down in the tackle and your defensive line just gives up, every player bar the fullback staying in an offside position, not using the extra time to get back the 10 metres. Illogical.

Add to this the sidestep imo has just gotten worse and worse when it appears , seeing more occasions like this below where my players may as well be in the sheds with their feet up. Cut it out BA, just put the controller down at this point

Anyone understand how transfers work in career mode? I placed some player on the transfer list on my team to get rid of them to make space. They have picked up contracts for next season (would be great if we had the option to get rid of them this season with options for outright releases, swaps or some where you have to pay part of their salary if the new club doesnt offer the whole lot), but right now i hav 4 players that are leaving at the end of the season, but my contracted player count for next season hasnt dropped, negating the reason i let them go.

Probably covered in the thread elsewhere… having been away on holiday so haven’t played for about two weeks and after seeing the constant updates on Twitter about patches and fixes…it’s disappointing to see stuff from day 1 still occurring.

The opposing player nameplate still disappears randomly in a match.

The rotations of the ball when it’s passed or kicked don’t look right for me. Most kicked balls spin massively, they don’t just rotate slowly in the air. Same for passing. The passing spin also looks like it’s inverted to the way that it was passed.

Still getting a double referee whistle on some tries with cutscenes and sound of the whistles not matching the cutscene.

Still managing to complete a full game without receiving a single penalty or six again but managing to give away 5/6 every time.

Hi there, I’m getting an issue when playing an online premiership challenge game where the game will freeze when logo sign shows. There’s no other option but to restart the game. Annoying cause 4 of my games I’ve got an L I was winning 3 of there and the other was a draw. Can we get this issue patched or let us know what to do so we aren’t getting the L when the game freezes like that. I

Have noticed since most recent patch PS5:

  • Off kick off or restart the receiver takes slight step backwards and passes resulting in forward pass.
  • In game name display for CPU controlled player in possession of ball sometimes shows but then doesnt for rest of match, generally after an infringement of play stoppage situation ie; knock on, “accidental offside”
  • When putting up a bomb and comes down and hit cross bar generally always results in my player getting possession and scoring with CPU (AI) players just standing there not reacting to the ball postion.
  • STate of Origin field markings not displaying even though that event has concluded in real life?? Still showing NRL/Kia/League Stars and NRL Fantasy…cannot wait to be able to select field markings!
  • Q-Cup sponsor Hostplus is not displayed on filed like in real life.
  • What is the dotted white lines in substitution area on some of the bigger stadiums for?
