No patch today. I believe they are fine tuning the game silently from the background. As, I know it’s possible. Hope i am not wrong. Optimistic.
We hope next update for fielding and game play not any other stuff @MattW
With the Ashes here in England next year are they working on the next edition with the lack of updates lately?
I hope they don’t leave this game like this as still there are gameplay and fielding issues that need to be fixed. Maybe they are taking their time before pushing any update.
Im hoping they are working on wicket taking and fielding. Taking their time to fully test and balance the changes they make before pushing it out. Although I welcomed their efforts to get patches out quick in the past. It’s clear that they were rushed out to address one issue. But that led to creating more. I have something silly like 600 hours in the game. As I find it a relaxing fun way to unwind and pass time. But with all the issues around the lack of wicket taking and obvious scripted gameplay. I won’t boot the game up until we get a patch that fixes those issues
Let’s hope this time they not disappointed us and give decent patch
I know it’s dumb question to ask probably I would have not asked this if things were fine in the game .By any chance if you guys have played keeping pace wicket chance at 100 does that do anything? If yes did you guys get lbws, clean bolds ?. I tried it in a T20 match but I did not notice any change AI was still batting comfortably and it never felt AI having any issues even with such extreme values. Modes of dismissals also pretty much the same keeper catches and outfield ones. I had already tried these extreme values in previous games and I could easily get AI out in every possible way but noticed no change what so ever in Cricket 26. Game just doesn’t react to sliders anymore I guess especially AI sliders. Batting,Bowling,Physics sliders definitely have their say but AI ones surely needs fixing.
I can reply on this
What Is AI behaviour if you keeping it legend by doing all nothing gonna change,
Keep everything same don’t change anything just change to Rookie or Amateur and increase player skills of bowler controlled by player to 100 see the difference.
I read but didn’t reply on sliders because as a gamer I need proper default skill of every player it’s not about openers and 9th down batsman can play sweep in same way.
Although I have been sharing about sliders for so long just keeping game interesting but never liked this.
If this is realistic game so this game must have skill based player from catching , batting to bowling.
This should not be like any player from eleven can be wicketkeeper , can open up the spell. It’s not possible in cricket 11 players has same fielding sense but here every player is catching with same dive. Can’t write so many things but really want each and every player has their own skills this is the only reason most of us don’t play Pro team and don’t collect cards.
I am really disappointed in this game and am wishing that I did not waste my money on it.
I play career mode exclusively and the injury system is fundamentally broken.
I’m playing Batting All-Rounder with Spin in career mode
In my first season I have been ruled out with 3x 10 Day injuries after bowling an 8.0 over 1st innings, returned for a 50 over match, then another 10 day injury after bowling 9.0 overs in the 1st innings, retuned again for a 50 over game, call on for 12.0 overs, and yup, injured again.
3 x bowling stints, zero batting, 30 days injured
How on Earth does this make sense what so ever?!
How is this even supposed to be fun what so ever?!
Its not like I can nope out of bowling the overs, and to rub salt in the wound, the match reports for the games you cannot play tell you that you must perform better!
So I deleted that career and started a new one.
First game finished before I could bat or bowl, so I got a terrible rating and was not selected for the next game! Yep, got a terrible rating for a game I was never selected for! I’m really feeling the value of my $90 at this point.
Deleted, 3rd new career
1st game, 3 Day match, called on to bowl 19 overs in the first innings, as a “batting” all-rounder, oh look, what a surprise, I’m “injured” for 10 days gain!
I’ll be submitting a refund request.
After every game are you going to sauna, massage and spa? If I have a week between games I’ll do multiple and never have issue with getting injured. Also manage my stamina when batting. Dont ever let my stamina drain down. Leaving balls or defending helps regain lost stamina
Since you talked about stamina i remembered in odis main bowlers are literally out of stamina in just 2-3 overs. Be it a pacer or spinner I don’t know what’s happening there with stamina. I literally have to bowl with part timers after 1st 8 overs. Is it the same for you guys
You need to make their fielding position where ball doesn’t generally go, I literally have custom tournament with 60 over red ball ODIs, where bowlers bowl 5-6 overs spell, I don’t get bowlers getting injured alot coz they don’t field much immediately after bowling
With career mode, you won’t lose much stamina if you’re simulating only to your batting or bowling
Yes. Or even when I’m bowling in the first in a game. It continues to make me bowl despite depleted stamina. And does recover by the time I come into bat. Not so bad in a 50 over game. But 20 over it takes a couple of overs leaving and defending before it regenerates to the point I can start playing big shots. Which isn’t ideal.
Also couldn’t reply to your earlier post about sliders as you can’t post multiple posts in a row on this forum. I guess it’s to stop spamming.
So as for sliders. No they don’t make any difference. I’ve put them up to a 100 and no difference.
I have had some joy with changing the physics sliders. Max bowling speed increased to 60 and lowering pitch bounce and ball bounce to 45. But it’s hard to get any hard data. As sometime it seems or make a difference sometimes it doesn’t![]()
My 1st game I didn’t get to bat or bowl then, because of my “bad performance”, I was not selected for the next limited overs game.
So the fist game I got to actually play, I was made to bowl 19 overs in the 1st innings
Retired between innings, no bat, no bowl 2nd innings, not bat our 2nd innings, 10 day injury, more bad game reports for “under performance”.
Yeah I have had the same issues concerning not getting to bat or bowl and get told my performance isn’t good enough. Way I combat that is raising my skills doing batting and bowling practice programs. Once my skill level is high enough. Even if my form in down I still get picked.
If you want to get picked every time. Chance selection chance to Very easy or easy. As for injuries though. I’ve started countless careers and never had many issues with injuries. Infact could count them on one hand. And I’ve played hundreds of matches. Added picture just to show how many hours I’ve played all in career mode
Its really weird
3 careers, injured after bowling all 3 times
Its really demoralising that I cant play the game properly. It makes no sense what so ever that a 20yr old, up and coming professional sports person would be injured so easily.
Its been so sour that I think I’ll just refund it.
Why are spinners bowling death overs in almost every single game in ODIs & T20s, it’s so unrealistic, fast bowlers bowl out by 16 overs, AI bowling rotation is pathetic
I played a couple of days of 24 and kept reading that 26 is better if you’re new to the series so I decided to pick it up before I got too attached to 24.
Big mistake it seems.
So disappointed at how bad it is
24 is definitely massively better than 26 gameplay wise. If the next patch doesn’t address the big issues. Think I’ll be reinstalling 24.
Im certainly going back to 24 while I have it on PS+
Give 26 a decade or 2 to maybe be playable
