Most needed features in cricket 26
1. Animation Improvements
a) Toss Animation Improvements
The current toss animation is unrealistic — the coin stays in the air and shows the result immediately.
Requested Improvements:
-
Coin should fall naturally to the ground before the result is revealed.
-
Umpire announces the toss winner.
-
Umpire asks the winning captain: “Bat first or bowl first?”
-
Captain responds with decision.
-
Toss concludes with captains shaking hands.
-
Dynamic broadcast cameras to capture umpire, captains, and crowd reactions.
-
All steps should be fully animated, replicating real match presentation.
b) Fielding Animations
- Fielders should slow down gradually after failing to stop a boundary instead of stopping abruptly.
c) Rain Animation & Match Delay
Currently, rain starts suddenly with players walking off.
Requested Improvements:
-
Slight sky darkening → Light drizzle → Umpire discussion
-
Play continues briefly sometimes; other times match stops
-
Ground staff run in and cover the pitch
-
Scorecard display during rain delay
-
Proper match delay animations should clearly show rain and cover-up sequences
d) Milestone Celebrations
- Players should begin celebrating immediately during the run after hitting a milestone shot, instead of waiting for the regular shot animation to finish.
e) Match-End Celebrations
-
Celebration should start immediately from the winning shot, not after standard batting animation.
-
Post-match sequences should include:
f) Tournament-End Presentations
Expanded presentation beyond trophy lift:
-
Ceremony stage setup
-
Winning & losing captains on stage
-
Player of the Match and Series awards
-
Most Runs / Wickets awards
-
Medals for all players
-
Full trophy broadcast sequence
g) Player Emotion & Body Language
-
Frustrated bowler reactions after dropped catch
-
Visible disappointment after conceding boundaries
-
Batsman self-talk after mistimed shots
-
Nervous body language near milestones
-
Teammates applauding strong fielding efforts
-
Celebratory huddles after key wickets
h) Realistic Injuries & Substitutes
-
Minor injuries during diving or running
-
Physio running onto field for treatment
-
Short match delays for injury assessment
-
Possibility of batsman retiring hurt
i) Dynamic Camera Improvements
- Cameras should also focus on bowler and batsman faces during run-up and delivery
2. Scorecards, Stats & Analytics
Complete Batting Scorecard
- Include strike rate next to every batsman
Live Win Probability
- Dynamic percentage updates every ball
Advanced Visual Analytics
The analytics that are already available in the Match Review section (Manhattan graph, Run Rate graph, Worm graph, Pitch Map, Scoring Areas, and Wagon Wheel etc) should not remain limited to manual access.
These graphics should also appear automatically during live broadcast moments — just like in real matches — such as at the end of the Powerplay, during strategic timeouts, after 50/100 partnerships, when a batsman reaches 50/100, after major momentum shifts, at the end of an innings, and in the full match summary.
Real Broadcast-Style Scorecard Graphics
- Appear: end of overs, after boundaries, wickets, milestones/near milestones
Live Tournament Stats
-
Automatic ranking movements (Top 5/10)
-
Instant display when a player moves rank
-
Manual access anytime during match
Current Match Performance Graphics
More frequent display of batsman and bowler stats:
-
At the start of overs
-
After wickets, fours, and sixes
-
When a batsman approaches 50 or 100
-
Dynamic broadcast-style overlays throughout the innings
3. AI, Gameplay & Career Mode
Smarter AI in Close Matches
-
Stronger intent to win during final overs or pressure situations
-
Intelligent aggression adjustment
-
Avoid overly defensive or careless shots
-
Enhances realism in close finishes
Shot Power & Six-Hitting Realism
-
Sixes should be harder to hit.
-
Six sixes in an over should be nearly impossible.
-
Realistic shot power and distances (most sixes landing near boundary ropes).
-
End-of-innings scoring should rely more on 1s, 2s, and 4s rather than excessive sixes.
Balanced Difficulty Mode
If the current aggressive style remains, please consider adding a Balanced Mode where:
-
**Winning and losing chances are truly equal
**
-
Matches are difficult to win
-
Sixes should be harder to hit.
-
End-of-innings scoring should rely more on 1s, 2s, and 4s rather than excessive sixes.
-
**Gameplay reflects realistic cricket pressure
**
-
Outcomes feel earned, not predictable
