I couldn’t agree with you (and others) more. This now is again very challenging.
But (at least for me) what kiils the full immersion and realism is the AI not making any errors/mistakes, especially while being aggressive (aside from hitting the net occasionally).
Is there any way to implement that Big Ant? While they are aggressive, the % of errors (hitting the net, putting the ball behid the base line and next to the side lines) should be somewhat higher compared to when they are playing defensive/safe shots. And obviously, that should also depend on the players and their overalls for the given shots.
Yes this is the biggest issue currently in the game , the ai needs to be able to miss long or wide but not ridiculous amounts just a realistic amount, not 40 plus a set and not 0 either. Balance that and the game will be solid, please don’t listen to the people saying slow the gameplay down etc , the speed is fine . Just balance the line errors and it’s close to been a very good good game.
Fully agree to both ^ and ^^. The speed is great now, and AI’s aggressiveness as well.
But they need to be able to make some random errors (long, both wide sides, net), especially while trying to be aggressive (and less while using the safe/safer shots). For their serves as well (especially for the 1st serves, where they should aim for more risk and power), and not just hitting the net.
And of course, like F14tomcats said, all those random errors should be somewhat realistic and random, and not like some crazy high numbers/percentages.
In the ideal world, and depending on the players and their stats/play styles, some should make slightly more and some slightly less errors, but at least everyone should make them from time to time (maybe more while attacking, and less while playing safe and/or defensive), but they should be part of the game.
I agree with everything you just said, but we don’t want this minority that are saying the game is unplayable and mess it up again, they just cannot practice for weeks to get better if they are finding it hard instead they want it changed 24 hours later and we saw what happened after the 31st October update,we got another one a day later which was a disaster.
Seems anytime the game is made harder this group always seems to revert to unplayable lol . Realistically it’s just they need to drop the difficulty and put the work in and practice then gradually work up the difficulty level. Yea hopefully the Devs will listen to the bigger group here saying it’s a good update and if they just balance the errors then we will have aggressive ai , challenging ai and more realistic ai and that is a pretty good place for the game to be at .
Have you looked at those trolls on the Steam forum who just keep hating on the game after every update and always say nothing has changed except new players which is not true when it is obvious each update lately keeps changing the game dramatically. I am not sure if they just like trolling but if i hated a game for this long after release i would not even be playing it and move on.
Incorrect you can definitely return the ai if you don’t ace lol cmon man people would be winning no games at all if that was the case . Just keep practicing or drop the difficulty until you readjust to the increase in speed and difficulty…
its not about returning the al , u practice and u will return them , but it sucks , its boring , so fast like bonbs, only winners no real rallies no unforced errors, u cant increase the difficulty by making the gameplay boring and unreal
Unforced line errors definitely is extremely unrealistic and very poor at the minute I agree totally. Gameplay speed I disagree last thing we want is top spin speed like playing in slow motion it’s horrible. And the rallies are actually good fun the ai especially with certain players are slicing and playing more variety than propblay ever, but again it’s all destroyed by the unrealistic lack of line errors which is killing the immersion.
I play on Hard and have adjusted easily to the fast serve returns,to say you can’t do anything is just not true. I tried Expert for a while and yes the cpu blasts the returns more but i was still able to return their service returns and i am 61 years old so surely if you are in a younger age bracket you should have faster reflexes than me. I still play on Hard as it feels the best for me. Why does everybody feel they have to play on Expert as it should only be for the elite players anyway.
increase the AI line errors and reduce the power of the AI bomb returns, add effect to fast serves, add classic men Players, add Speed and power slider optionsssss

Flushing Meadows Semifinal
If it seems improved I give up!!! useless update like the game
it’s useless to have all the ATP tournaments if there is no competition with even an improved player
I agree. For the first time since I started to play Tiebreak, early acces in May , I can enjoy the gameplay and find it better then AO2 ever was. I tried expert but it was to much for me and switched to hard and that is better. As it was before the last updates this game was too easy. I could play on expert and win matches against players with much better stats. The only thing is the amount of unforced errors. Before the last update there was too much , mostly from hitting the net by AI on easy returns. I am happy to see them gone but there should be U E like playing the ball aggressively too long or wide. It should be possible to manage that without it resulting in a weaker performance of AI .
Yes AO2 was my favourite tennis game even over topspin 4 for more realistic speed but now Tiebreak as of this update is clearly the best. Try a match the same as me on Hard with you as Sinner vs cpu Medvedev on a hard court and you will be surprised how much variety Medvedev uses from constant slicing mixing up topspin and flatshots as well as putting balls up to smash and also lobbing,he wrong footed me that many times not just with speed but variations of strokes. In the end he beat me but it was a really fun match.
Possible that Sarcasm is involved
i actually like how varied Medi plays. Didn’t help him but hey at least he isn’t a “Bulls*it Return Bomber” i think thats a good way to describe those AI players “BRB™” As most of the time i had 100 percent first serves and well two unforced errors…hm where did they come from?
Same as Medi he really got a game off me. Btw it was a Return Game as in the first match. Fritz is actually a BRB™️ but the problem with his bullsitting is that most of the BRB’s hit the net xD. I’ve choosen just to use Flats and Top Spins in this match/no slices or modified shots etc. Didn’t help him his bullsitting wasn’t strong enough plus i bulls*itted him back quite a lot!
i was super nervous going into this match knowing he is an absolute BRB™ beast but to be honest it wasn’t as bad as i thought! This was the moment i thought about cutting my fingers off to make it a little harder for me but i decided to go a more painfree route and switched to Tiebreak Movement and just used Top Spins! He got 3 games off me and i was so nervous that i missed 2 first serves!!! Holy Moly! 11 unforced erros??? What the fudge i thought to myself! Thats when i realised that defensive block shots etc are actually counted as unforced erros(not forced erros because that doesnt exist here) well just a little thing but it explains the high amount of errors i actually had xD. Conclusion…i don’t have the amazing experience a lot of you guys have but it’s not problem because i believe in democracy and if the majority likes the way this game headed with the new update so be it
i think:
-Top Spin is overpowered
-Flats are overpowered
-Serve is better but the mechanics are as boring as ever
-Return is overpowered
-AI bombs are just unrealistic and annoying!
-a lot of cosmetic stuff/sound for example
i know exactly what i would do to mechanics but let’s see what Mike says Monday! What he thinks the best way going forward is actually!
