Great thanks. I’m not sure if you’ve played online, but there are a subset of us that don’t try to spam offloads or OP mechanics and try play actual rugby and it makes the game feel incredibly life like (games down to the wire etc). So think it’s great there’s attention on it.
No you are and that’s fine. Like I said a few weeks ago I’m the target here and that’s fine. But I can only do what I can do. Sometimes it means I will literally say nothing, as I said “I” will not make any false promises. But I will say things I know will happen.

I do apologise. I’m sure you can appreciate there is no other outlet for anger/disappointment. It’s been a long time now waiting and nothing seem to be done by the core gameplay issues raised month and months ago. It’s frustrating.
I’ve said my bit and will wait another week hoping for things to get better.
And I will welcome you back next week and I like to read what everyone has to say after each patch.
No worries bud, I had actually turned off automatic updates on my PS5. Once I’m back home later I’ll turn it back on.
I was really pleased with Tuesdays patch and wanted to stick with that. But if all you guys have done is update a couple of teams and ratings, plus continued with stability fixes I’ll switch it back on in a while and let it update.

Mhmm tonights will change nothing. It’s safe to update. I want more to play on this version as the largest group plays on the weekend so I can get some more comparisons between now and last weeks… many steps backwards. Something we certainly want to avoid at all costs.

I wouldn’t mind a 1 patch per week for gameplay.
Right now i think is quite stable gamplay wise. Like i said tuesday i think AI is a bit too coservative on the attack style, 98% just goes into defence and with some offload. I got 2 passes before tackle in 4 matches.
The attacking style or approch is for sure hard to implement properly, is based on situation, team strategies and overall style of playing.
Playing wide near the 5 meters is suicidal most of times, but it depends… your opponent is starting to leaves gaps? They are getting more tigth defensively? Are you that confident to not lose the ball with a rushing defense?
All this and more are considered by a team when choosing what to do.
The same thing occurs in every part of the field.

If we find players that look opposite as they do irl (wrong hair, skin colour, height, etc), are we supposed to raise a ticket to support? Or are they all supposed to be reviewed eventually?
I understand that less famous teams, for example Spain, don’t get photogrammetry but some of them are conpletely wrong.
Since we cant edit existing players yet, what’s the way to go? Thanks!
Hello, I’m Playing in hardest on steam.
I think It is fair for the AI to be harder to tackle, but next step in my opinion is to make It use the kicks more !
- Kick-off reception > clearance kick from the 9
- 30m zone > Clearance kick from the 10
- 50m zone > Kick aiming for the 50-22.
- 40m>40m zone > Some up and unders (when fixed)
With those features, I’m sure players won’t have the feeling of spending their time defending against freight trains !

Hi @JNT_BA thanks for the latest update. It’s definitely challenging now however as others have said it’s maybe not challenging in the right way. Making the first receiver invincible through fends and offloads doesn’t feel right and the missed tackles being as high as the number of tackles is just not realistic. The lack fn momentum animations in tackles and the ability to ride the tackle and drive forward to gain metres, especially with the forwards is so noticeable now. I’d much rather see the AI make metres through actual forward play with momentum and driven runs up the field than continuous offloads and fends.
I mentioned this in my ticket 28913 but please look at how the AI played in Early Access 2, specifically interim patch 2. Although the AI lacked the right intent to pick the gaps they set up in much better attacking shapes, forwards kept to pods with supporting players in the pods hitting rucks after a carry, backline players looping behind the pod to take a pass from a pod and also passing down the line, tactically kicking when needed and using special moves like the step at the right time.
Additionally how much are individual player skills having on the difficulty? The reason I ask is that I have created some custom teams and purposely made certain players stats for things like rucking and offloads really bad yet this doesn’t make any difference. The flyhalf for example had terrible offload and ruck skills however was able to offload every contact and then entered nearly every ruck on attack, which of course then took them out of the next play.
This week has definitely been a step forward to last weeks patches that’s for sure
Edit: whilst I’m thinking about it, I meant to ask this a few weeks ago but forgot.
I am a big Leicester Tigers fan and noticed right away that the stadium in game doesn’t look like Welford Road irl.
So I was going to ask, similar to what the team did with the StoneX stadium, are they planning on updating other stadiums at all?
Reason I ask is because the in game version of the Europcar Stand doesn’t look anything like it’s real life counterpart.
