Yeah Iām gonna need the team that worked on RL26 to come help fix Rugby 25. First time playing a rugby league game but that was actually very enjoyable to play. I like Rugby 25 for the most part but RL26 just feels more polished in comparison, like 95% of things just kinda work that little bit better. In a funny way playing RL26 gives me hope for Rugby25. Stoked for the update tomorrow and hopefully itās the beginning of series of beautiful updates.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate youāre busy. Iām having a little trouble following the response. I wasnāt talking about the terminology, but more the distance of the standard kick in the game. Itās been pretty commonly reported by Mad Dragon and others as not being long enough to be like real Rugby for months now, but has seemed more noticeable in Side view.
I do accept and agree that the kicks (box and standard) are different for different uses, but didnāt actually bring that up. Maybe youāre referring to an earlier post Iāve made where I said that the Rugby League Standard kick seems to have more distance than the Rugby Union one?
In that case they do have a similar use. League itās territorial, and in Union itās territorial, for slightly different reasons. Iāve done some checking around online and various sources indicate that the typical distance of a Union general play kick tends to be slightly longer than the average Rugby League general play kick. This seems different in the two Big Ant games.
Consequently almost all games Iāve played of Rugby '25, with various users in local multiplayer and several others online feature very little kicking for territory.
As someone who picked up Rugby 25 and now has RL26, Iād just like to put my 2c in and give Big Ant a wrap for a couple of improvements in RL26 by also requesting a few things be ported between the 2 games.
Colour picker in RL26 jersey creator with the HSB/HSL is a better option in my opinion for R25 but would be improved with the copy/paste on LB/RB from R25. Would be good to unify these 2 games, along with porting the manufacturers and design templates between games as well for extra options.
Obviously, the option of picking licensed players as is able to be done in RL26 would be ideal for Rugby 25 but I understand there are licensing issues.
It would also be nice if some of the stadia in RL26 could be added to R25. Accor is a big one considering the Wallabies play many tests there and will be hosting the Lions 3rd test. Same with the likes of Leichhardt and North Sydney, for example, who host the occasional Super Rugby games.
A lot of the defensive options for multi-player tackles, controlled movement, etc. from RL26 would be a big improvement for R25 too, versus the Rugby Challenge esque shoot-and-dive tactics.
I can understand a lot of the negative feedback about both games but also think itās important to be constructive and look at the whole picture - thereās definitely a lot between these 2 games that can be added to the other as improvements.

Hi @JNT_BA just asking if you can maybe take a look at the tmo situation where every tackle behind the try line is a no try even if the ball is grounded and clearly a try the Ref calls tmo and its no try ā¦ Thanks looking forward for todays update

We have the better game at the moment with Rugby 25, if only for the fact that you canāt play Rugby League 26.
All versions are down for some kind of maintenance I assume. Just over one day into this new game being out.
The leagueys are starting to get a lot more than annoyed now.

Understandable since the entire game is unplayable on all platforms.
Maybe weāll hear about our patch after big ant are able to solve the current issue with the Sony, Xbox and Steam platforms for rugby league 26.
Iād imagine that the major conversations will be about getting that game up and running first.
Itās very near the end of Friday here in NZ. When we were getting Wednesday patches theyād often not arrive until early Thursday morning anyway. Do all the platforms release patches on Saturday mornings?
Chance possibly of delay post the weekend for Rugby '25 patch?
Whatās everyoneās guess about that?
