I agree with you on gameplay over logos etc. But sadly for the majority that is not the case.
Latest update did nothing to gameplay. Think patch releasing tomorrow should be the one to look out for.
Unless they ignored feedback again and added new socks.

Donāt want to alarm anyone but Iām now struggling to get players to even join a ruck when spamming O since updating hahahahhah
Same here takes ages to join a ruck just spent 105 minutes defending rucks definatley no better tbh

The update would have been for Ps5. Itās the patch that came out for steam and Xbox yesterday.
PS5 is today.
Played an online match. Was winning in the second-half when my opponent paused and quit out.
Game gave me a loss on the leaderboard.
DOES ANYTHING WORK AS INTENDED ON THIS GAME?

Not sure if there is currently an issue though it seems like it from what I read here.
Normally, if you create a player, youcan assign him to a team. Alternatively if you only create the team and not the player, you first need to download the player from the community tab. You can also download a team that already has the players included.
Those are the options. If not available, then there is an issue.
You cannot currently add official players, only custom created players

When starting career to make it more realistic you should be randomly given a team instead of picking one (or maybe the option for both). i.e. starting off with a team like Brive who are in the Pro D2 and you can get offers from other clubs to go and coach those teams for a price, this could be where you could chose to stay with your club and win the top 14 if promoted or make a money move to another team like racing 92 for a higher wage. On top of this you should be let go if your managering is not good.

Salaries for teams need to be realistic, a romanian team should not have the same funds as a top 14 team like toulon. For teams in the premiership they have a salary cap of Ā£7 milliion so should be cater to them.

All the ratings donāt work whether you put 1 star or 5 stars on the fitness coach you players still get fatiguted the same amount, same for other ratings like scouts.

Signing players seems impossible, donāt know if its been worked on yet but doesnt seem use friendly, unable to give an offer higher than 150k AUD and all players dont see that as enough and you canāt fitler to their expected price range, so you get reject from all, additionally it isnt easy to understand it too well and you cant seem to sell players or add them to watch list

I see a lot of potential with manager career mode and I have high hopes and definitely seems like the most popular game mode at the moment. Would love for it to be more realistic with the suggestions above!! Keep at it, canāt wait!!!

Immediate priorities for me to start enjoying the game, while you work and all the major and minor issues:

Improved AI - fix the AI to make more than 1 pass before crashing the ball, perhaps even doing some unique moves, and using tactical kicking more. Also have AI make substitutions, whether tactically or for injuries, as currently they dont make any subs. Lastly, have the AI better decern when to kick for goal or kick for touch, off a penalty, based on game circumstances. They currently never go for goal. Also cant have 0-0 games evrytime. Bring the old AI Back!

Better rules implementation - Currently penalties are only awarded when there should not be one. Introduce penalties for all the various aspects of the game, as many have highlighted in this thread, including penalty advantage and not just an instant stoppage in play, as well as yellow and red cards for dangerous plays, such as high tackles. Also add more knock-ons with advantage when applicable.

Get the actual kicker to take the kicks and not some random forward. Should have the option to selct vice captain and backup kickers as well.
While priority should further be given to the handful of serious gameplay concerns, highlighted throughout the thread, there are also hundreds of other smaller improvements and additions that could be made by other devs, that could be done and added quickly to add significant emmersion and make the game somewhat playable in the meantime and could have already been done during EA.

Game still doesnāt allow me to play onlineā¦ Ps5ā¦ it just loads and nothing.

Opponents had a line out on our 10 metre line tapped it back went straight to my hooker standing in their 22 no offside apparently so scored a try thank you very mutch 
Passing and rucks are definitely the killer in this game so far. There are obviously some other issues but fixing those 2 things will instantly make this more playable and enjoyable. You can sort out the player names and nice to haves later. It would also be nice to show the patch notes in game so that we can see what is being addressed and donāt just say āstability issuesā elaborate on what exactly is being fixed. I did follow the EA online and it really looked promising.
My purchase was purely based on the EA content that was being showed on Youtube etc. Iām a big optimist and truly believe you have something decent here you just need to fix the fundamentals quickly before you lose the less optimistic fans!!!

Open the game and get on the main menu - the build number on the bottom right is what you wanna look at. Not the version on your consoleās UI.
