I’ll be honest, I hated the game at the beginning and the rucking and passing is absolutely god awful 80% of the time BUT the game is kind of growing on me now since these new updates. I’m enjoying the career mode, basically the only thing I’m playing. I’ve now noticed you can actually score some pretty good looking and satisfying try’s. I’ve notices if you time your pass at the precise time you’re being tackled the ball 90% of the time goes to the hand of the supporting runner without the ball receiver having to slow down or it looking janky. It’s been a bit of a game changer for me tbh and you can score some good looking try’s. Hopefully they continue to work on passing tho
That’s the latest build by my reckoning. Those last four numbers are always the telltale sign.
Thanks brother. Game has lots of potential. Started the game in medium settings playing my Drua team. Able to swing the ball out to the winger now and score some good trys
Anyone else can’t recruit any players in career mode? I go to search for players in the recruitment tab and it comes up blank every time
It comes later, seems like a transfer window. Mine came round 9 of URC.
It would be great if some more camera angles can be added in the game.
Not gameplay related but… We can’t share logos anymore. It redirects automatically to an Academy search tab
Custom teams logos don’t appear for the opponent online on ps5 even if you both have the team downloaded @Lachie_BA
Gentlemen- liking the game but there are a few areas that would improve the game - an option for tackled player from open attacking play to try to stand up in contact and ‘‘call a maul’’ would be useful, have tried fend and bump off but doesn’t seem to do it. Left trigger seems to do nothing could be used especially when tackled above waist / close to shoulder height, would also be good if you could add more than 3 players to ruck, would like ruck to be more of an active contest, but not unhappy with current version especially feel of it, initially didn’t like scrum but now ok with it, line out should be more of a contest and is too simple. Rugby 22 line out however was hard to get to grips with, but good when you got there. You could add a simplified version of the game and a more complex version- easy one / two button line outs and scrums on easy/arcade mode and a pro or simulator version with more complex variants. Otherwise game growing on me. First game felt quite realistic. I am the sort of person who mostly tries to adapt to AI and just like realistic options. Still learning how to play to some extent. I am a busy professional with little time to play- but the game looks great. I like the design a stadium option, and the music is good. Range of clubs is great! I have it on Xbox Series X.
Man i just want to be able to add real players to custom rosters so i can make my painfully departed Melbourne Rebels .
Would also love Rugby 7’s, is there any information regarding the liklehood of that being added?
Great game so far, obvious issues which im sure will be fixed hopefully in a timely manner but for me the biggest issue is not being able to edit/select licensed players for custom squads. Even being able to use licensed kits in custom squads would be elite.
Hoping you kind peeps can help me here :). How do I download the latest update on PS4 or does it automatically update on the days of the updates so,.for example if I play tomorrow night then game automatically updates before I start playing the game :)?
I have noticed this a bit with forwards running like wingers, but have noticed when passing along the backline that some players clearly faster and stronger than others. Have only played about 8 games and so still getting a feel for it.
The AI is so disciplined it never gives a way a penalty which makes the game so unrealistic
The players move like tanks, very hard to control them with any accuracy
Thank you for your feedback, and for amending your post to acknowledge that we did not develop Rugby 22. Despite what people may think, there’s much more to it than just “implementing” something from a game that is not ours. How would we credit someone for their hard work on this system, when we’re unsure who played a part in developing it 3-4 years ago?
To say that we’re not monitoring feedback and taking community feedback seriously is completely false. On this forum alone, there are a series of posts (including some from yourself) that come in at over 800 words. Keep in mind, that this is not the only place we’ve been collecting feedback from - there is extensive input from these channels too. Disseminating useful and actionable feedback from all of these sources does take time.
There has been a lot of insightful and useful feedback already gathered, but that doesn’t mean they all align on how to approach things. There may be 5-6 suggestions on how to approach a single element, and the development team then has to determine which of these results in the ideal outcome - and again testing these does take time.
Thank you Lachie, good to know
It feels like at the moment there are different version on different systems? The latest xbox-s version seems like it improved passing but the rucks took a step back V2451 vs V2479. On steam version seems like both passing and rucks were improved some? v2411 vs 2457.
You’re absolutely right here.
While we gathered as much feedback as possible during Early Access, some people like yourself engaged with the game - but didn’t always reach out with feedback. We also had people who engaged with the game and gave feedback, but it wasn’t always useful. Hearing things like “make ‘X’ & ‘Y’ element better”, doesn’t give us or the development team much to work with.
While Early Access was limited to Steam, the Full Release meant that the level of feedback, player insight, and overall number of players engaging with the game grew exponentially.
Constructive and Actionable feedback is why some of our other Early Access releases, have been able to get to a place where the community feels satisfied with the feel of the game, and regularly see improvements with each update.
We’d like to get our Server/Online team to look into this a little more closely.
If you haven’t already, submit a report with our Support Team.
Ensure you include all the requested details in your report, and they’ll look into this as soon as possible.
PS5 online, 50/22 aren’t been given
Tom Bowen missing in Cardiff Rugbys Roster
In the 6N the Welsh home games aren’t been played in the principality stadium but a default stadium
Seem impossible to win a ruck with tired/low rated teams vs Ai
Being tackled over the try line with clear grounding doesn’t award a try
Offsides are still very inconsistent, can often tackle offsides and there is no offsides when kicking
Can only pick from a small selection of stadiums in the online custom games
I don’t want to sound disrespectful at all I own many big ant games afl , cricket, tiebreak and enjoy them all . But it shouldn’t take the community to tell you and the team that a rugby union game can’t and should not play like a rugby league game. The passing and ai is just rugby league live . And although you can’t implement rugby 22 system you can definitely watch some footage and see how that plays like union. A tactical kicking game, wing play , running lines, adding players to rucks , multiple different types of penalties. Even games on PS3 had this rugby challenge etc . Updates fixed tiebreak to a very impressive level and hopefully the same can happen here .
