Once again, Rugby 25 draws the short straw. Seeing how much better similar functions are implemented in the other two sports just adds to the frustration . I’m trying so hard to like this game (having paid €60 for it), but I rarely manage to finish a match because there are still so many issues. Improved place kicking would have been a huge boost, but instead it’s just become more annoying. Six months and counting, the wait goes on.

Completely agree, the lack of general play kicking distance kind of exposes the unfortunate lack of knowledge about real world club and international backs.

I haven’t been too harsh with this game. In my opinion it sucks big time and is completely horrible to play. The level of nonsense across the entire game from UI to gameplay is insane this long after EA.
I think people are not being harsh enough personally. It is by far the worst rugby union game ever made.
Disclaimer: I do still have hope one year they will turn it around. Their other games just make it impossible for me to believe they can remain failing this badly at a sport.
But it is a looooong way away from what we have now. Horrible. Horrible horrible.
Crazy when their rugby league and tennis games are very very very very good.

I always did say on full release is when we can judge the game, beforehand I was sure it would turn out just like RL26, a banger. I thought 6 months after it would be perfected. Then, they charged full price but kept it at EA quality. This long after now and regardless of what is said about behind the scenes this or that … the game is played by the end user, not behind the scenes and nothing has changed in the end result to make it even decent or replicate rugby. Gone from 100% sure to 3% certain

Rugby league fans being more vocal than us ,with league’s game miles ahead of union’s …yeah ,you might be right ,we are a bit to soft !
Fact that until today ,half of the tutorials are incomplete or broken is reflecting the game status !
If i was a new fan who just wanted to get in union ,finding out thoose tutorials would had left me in dust and dissapointment!
@JNT_BA please fix the basics,bring in RL26 smoothness and the game will suddenly get another face and will be ready for the next steps!

Mmmmh still a long road ahead to have a finished game, but since yesterday I actually have some fun again. Even if there are still a lot of pants things, there are some cool bits in this game.
Telea scoring a try at 78’. 20 - 21 fçr the ABs. Late win for Argentina thanks to a drop of Santi Carreras at the 83’.

They have no idea how to actually balance the difficulties or to get AI to exploit space so their go to is make the first tackle unachievable . What an absolute disgrace of a game. I accept my fate, just as everyone has accepted this is another rugby game that has failed to achieve what games 2-3 generations ago got right. Sigh, how disappointing. Aussies..too simple for the game of Rugby Union

The rucking animations of Rugby challenge series not good, except for the isolated tackle, stand and Jackle, that was done almost to perfection, but the mechanics of it were pretty good, when I would go out wide and get isolated I would quick bind follow up by heavy bind to help retain the ball, not to mention you could hold on until help arrived risking a holding the ball call,
Bapean: I like that Argentina 23 vs New Zealand 21 score line for Saturday. Looks like its going to be the last Rugby Championship in that format. Not happy about that. Lets go Pumas!!

I mean, I love your optimism … definite Stockholm syndrome but as long as you enjoy it that is all that matters.
I have whatever syndrome it is called when you literally despise a game but you have invested so much time into it that you can’t not watch how the trainwreck plays out
This game for me and I am sure many others is miles away not only from a finished game but even from a game that is remotely playable for more than 1 half.
I have never seen a worse made game than this one. The bugs, the inconsistencies, the missing things. Can we please copy and paste the Rugby league staff to this game and just give the R25 guys a holiday?
