Yeah dude that part is fine but the pro online crashes whenever someone scores first try. It’s so infuriating. I’m tempted get a ps5! Too late get money back also. Hoping they fix it.
Yeah like an inertia effect in a physics sense… this could also open up opportunities for CPU cotrolled teams to have line break and try scoring opportunities against human controlled teams. I do recall however this was problematic in the past due to players/users wanting better reaction timings from their inputs in controlling their players.
Exactly what I keep thinking while reading all this negative stuff. Instead of people bagging the can we please just enjoy what we can and give constructive feedback so that we can help build the game to what it can be. All the downing I’ve seen online is more likely to make the devs just forget about it. I love rugby league and have been anxious for so long about a new game. Let’s build it together.
I’m not sure if somebody has answered you already, but I was having the same issue. It turns out I was holding B for too long. Try just holding it for a split second, you’ll certainly notice a difference.
Definitely worth complaining about things that are broken or missing, 100%. Do that and they might end up changing it.
Although when it comes to the “I want a refund” stuff, I’m sick of reading those.
There are PLENTY of bad and mixed reviews out there. MANY even. Buying early and not taking those into account is on you. I’m not happy with this game yet, and I’m far more annoyed about Rugby '25, but I was the guy who went in and bought them anyway, so that’s on me. I’ll complain about game aspects, but I’m not talking refunds.
Take some, just some small microbe of responsibility for your own choices.
Some of us that played R25 have given the same feedback on what will fix the game and make it better and it fell on deaf ears as each update breaks the game more, so from what I have seen don’t think feedback really matters as they just do whatever they want
ATTENTION BIGANT: Quick query regarding ticket generation within support, is it better when identifying issues to raise a new ticket or keep adding to an existing ticket?
Feedback: I have been experimenting and have found playing Q-Cup on either Pro or Amateur gives a nice gameplay speed where as a user I have space and time to identify opportunities and execute the structured plays. I am not sure if its down to the difficulty level or player attributes that cause this but it has a nice balanced feel. I also dont use sprint all that much except in line break situations and feels a little like the gameplay speed in real life when getting through sets…thumbs up on that one.
Suggestion: Have CPU controlled teams use these set play structures more instead of 1 or 2 pass sequences and maybe adjust stamina/fatigue depletion to be a bit quicker on this difficulty level.
Also have an attacking set play option for a grubber into in goal where AI controlled players will stand more flat in respect to the kicker and chase through…
The most recent patches have made the game worse, trying to play some games today and it’s worse than it was on launch now.
Utoikamanu a 115 kilogram prop forward outran Reece Walsh over 90 metres after a dropped ball, this might’ve been happening pre patch but I never saw one as ridiculous as that.
Coach mode in career mode is very broken now with all the teams having a ton of 90+ overall players, the Dally M award for top tryscorer was awarded to Tommy Talau who had a grand total of 1 try, the top tryscorer award always goes to whoever the highest pointscorer is meaning you see a lot of halves win both awards with single digit tries.
With coach mode now unplayable I tried to do my career player mode which is equally as broken. Called for the ball to take my second hit up of the game and the players throw it all around the place until they knock it on just like what would happen in RLL4. This will happen on average at least once per game, it only fixes itself when the ball goes out of play, goes forward or is knocked on.
Clarkey and MrLukeSports now accusing the game of being a scam, saw RTS, Reece Walsh and James Tedesco having a laugh about the game on socials, Millie Boyle is rightfully upset at being a 56 overall despite being an Origin player and Australian international, Kennedy Cherrington is disappointed.
When are we going to see mass fixes because these alleged patch fixes have made the game worse to the point that its gone from a playable glitchy mess to an unplayable glitchy mess.
BigAnt really needs someone on this forum to answer questions, this is really bad.
Edit: Just took the game off pause, gave away a penalty, opposition team decided to take the penalty goal from 15 metres out only for Vossy to question it with something along the lines of “Whys he taking it from this far out? It’s too far!”
The player change mechanics in defence since th e last update have been horrid. Sometimes it absolutely refuses to select a player, never selects the closest player. And sometimes will just select the fullback for no reason. It was fine 2 days ago
Just to add onto the commentary, every time you make a sub, they question whether there was an injury or someone was getting hooked for bad play… blah blah something about miscommunication from the coaching stuff as if subs aren’t a normal part of the game.
And no, I’m making a sub because my halves lose all their stamina before half time.
I know it’s far from where is expected, but I’m finding gameplay wise it has improved. I was lucky enough to have a bit of time to adjust players to where I thought they should be with speed and agility and tackle skills etc and having some good games and tries to wingers backing up from breaks. For what it’s worth I’ve found dropping props to 50’s for speed back row max 70 but most mid 60’s and backs fastest up to 90’s for some wingers like Sloan.
With tackle skill for backs much lower I used Crichton as a bench mark with 72 tackle everyone else under that by what I see in real life.
Also found dropping a slight bit of pace off hookers seems to have helped.
Have noticed this as well, had one earlier today in a game I was losing 6-0 Cam Smith said something along the lines of the fans are going to leave soon because our performance has been bad.
Winning mid way through the second half and then vossy saying that we’re minutes in and the games getting away from the other team is definitely jarring.
Anyone in proteams know how to do the super league challenge I had a full 17 of super league players and made sure all 17 scored a try so surely that counts as a stat but still challenge is incomplete
Sadly the game is in a poor state. There are times I am having fun, then the age old annoyances pop in and destroy the immersion.
The passing is floaty and slow, the ai only follow the ball and react instantly to a pass which due to being slow makes it almost impossible for a draw and pass.
The speeds are way off and it feels like it’s deliberate nerfing of backs to control difficulty or something. Even if you max out backs they still don’t feel or act fast.
Partly I think this is due to set play tracks giving players a boost .
The kicking is hit and miss. Lots of problems with kicker positioning and if they are on the set play track they catapult forward for no reason. The kick activate button should almost halt forward motion full stop.
Offloads are better than 4 worse than live 2
I actually don’t have much in complaints about defence. I like most of this apart from when changing players don’t work.
My biggest gripe along with rll3 is stats are linked in stupid ways. Big ant please go back to individual stats like RLL 2. It’s part of the problem with players all being fast and having stupid kicking ability. Stamina and endurance should do two separate things. One decreases how quick the speed bar diminishes when using burst and the other how long a player takes to fatigue and recover. Fatigue should decrease the speed bar more permanently until rest. How speed is linked to kicking stats is also stupid. Everything about stats since rll3 has gradually made the gameplay weaker.
I did the stupid thing today and blew the cobwebs off the old Ps3 and powered up my copy of Rll 2. Needless to say the games feel very similar yet 2 is better on the park in a lot of ways. 26 drag and drive mechanic is actually very good. But the set play focus has overtime restricted play. All we need is something similar to RLL 2, a way to drop your kicker into the pocket and a way to call a forwards play right or left and a deep backline right or left. Then the ai can figure the running lines based on field position.
A simple d pad up for fowards and down for backs , with left and right d pad for direction of play. To call for kicker into pocket L2 and you could even have d pad for type of kick position right/left of hooker, forward for closer and down for deeper position behind the hooker.
Anyway I only hope for this game to become more enjoyable for career play. I don’t do cards and never will . I also will never buy another rugby league game without decent gameplay in advance. You got me big ant, i will not return my game because as I see it this is your final chance and im supporting you to do good, fix this game and make it worth playing and if you make another, don’t hide gameplay or any such nonsense.
