I’m not sure but still needs fixing. Have actually found this side of 1.27 its become a bit easier to sack the kicker again on the last tackle. Couldn’t get near the kicker before the patch and actually really liked it that way. Seems they’re trying to tweak things in this department, must be bloody hard work 27 patches in a month credit for all the hard work BA keep at it game ticking so many boxes
Edit- do you have any tips on diving on a loose grubber kick in defence? I position my player perfectly it seems but can’t get the animation to work? Spamming, holding, tap, double tap? Not sure on the play here trying to figure it out lol
Haha that was said before about different games tbf with each update ps5 I delete my saved file, start fresh, had really bad stuttering/frame drops on a few patches and deleting fixed it. Not sure if that’s feasible on your end though with fanhub stuff..
I think maybe I need to get on the dive button a little earlier perhaps with loose ball grubbers ? Might be a thing, I’ll muck around with it some more when it pops up. Cheers

Have you played a game at Mend-A-Hose Jungle yet? Broadcast Far cam seems to sit on a little higher angle maybe a touch more zoomed out. Incredible ground for Broadcast Far cam
Edit - found a nice little way of retrieving kicks extremely close to the sideline so you don’t run the ball into touch.
Click R3 leave ball alone and just let your AI controlled winger come pick the ball up, will have much better control when it auto switches after the pick up, just be careful not to move the RS when clicking in👍
Another tip I’ll throw out- making your 2nd playmaker your fullback works so good in being able to find him almost at will with any move on L1+R1, been having a lot of enjoyment with this
Yeah i did notice a difference. Going to raise stamina a bit tonight to see if that missed tackle stats gets better as well. Probably drop the fends and sidesteps a bit more as well probably to 10.
On PS5, still getting the forward passing from kick offs although doesn’t seem as frequent now.
One thing that definitely hasn’t been fixed is the interchanges for AI. They are still only using 2 instead of 4. This is happening every game as it has done since day 1 I believe.
Also the AI kicking on 4th tackle still looks as janky as ever.
This is all after todays patch. Incidentally what has changed, been fixed, added, removed, etc with this patch?
Downloaded a patch last night. Setup to play an NRL match. 60 minutes vintage mode PS5. Teams unedited.
I kick off they throw a forward pass after the catch. Scrum packs I pass to the open side centre and he strolls over untouched for a try under the posts. 6 nil in less than a minute.
Looks like that hasn’t been fixed. Stopped playing.
Back to playing my edited teams in one off matches.
@JNT_BA to combat the overuse & effectiveness of fends in the game. The O button on ps5 as the legs tackle button a unfendable action, the downside to this could be offloads are highly likely. This would give defence a way to shutdown fends while also not taking too much away from the attack. Also would like to see goal kicking be made harder by adding a mix of Rll4 & this years one. The new update seen shortkickoffs nerfed but would like the contested part of it still included
Seems 4th kick glitch has been fixed and controlled marker cleaned up! Support play a lot better through open play (no offloads) I feel.
Edit - change player in defence felt a lot tidier/less chaotic in the game I just played. Good work.
Support play through open field definitely improved I feel, had some really nice heads up/off the cuff passing plays

The forward passing after kick off is still a problem I’m afraid. It is happening almost every time there’s a kick off. Bloody annoying tbh. However, the 4th tackle kick seems to be fixed.
There are still a few issues happening during the match such as players running unnecessarily into touch with ball in hand.
I also think when players are tackled in touch trying to score a try, they are almost always held up. I think the ratio of held ups compared to tries needs to be adjusted so there are more tries scored.
That’s interesting, I honestly haven’t seen the AI forward pass off the kickoff since update 1.27..
Have taken tonight’s two sides from the NRL Rabbitohs v Dragons, have kept the same 34 players for all the matches I’ve played so far.
Lowered both Sprint and Acceleration by 20 for each player on their default values.
Lowered side step stats so players are mainly in the 60’s, no higher than 70.
The slower pace of the game with sprint speeds/acceleration ranges now from low 40’s to low 60’s across all players is a real nice change. Have appreciated the extra time for targeted passing in particular and with a bit more time and space attacking close to the line doesn’t feel as rushed. Have had some nice moments with broken/open play and kick returns, doesn’t feel as chaotic and extra time allowing better positioning of team mates I feel.
May need a couple more tweeks here and there, potentially increasing acceleration on some big forwards, but feel the game is far better with a slower nature, especially playing in Broadcast cam.

Thanks guys for the custom comp. Big step forward. Just one gripe about it though. Why can we only have a max of 16 teams in it when there are 17 in the NRL. Please make it 20.
