I’ve really struggled with the field goals since the update. Not sure if the bar is distracting me or if they have tweaked them slightly, but I’m skewing them badly!
I think Valhalla is right, best to go off feel as I was comfortably kicking them from 30m out.

I’m going to try a little different approach as I have been trialing a few different changes.
Offloads for all players set to zero. They still offload but only about a 1/4 or a bit less than they do now.
Fends and sidesteps set to 10 for backs and 0 for forwards. They still fend but again not as much and players with more speed can still sidestep.
Front row sprint and speed no more than 60
Second row no more than 70
Locks and hookers no more 75
Front row acceleration no more than 70
Second Locks and hookers row no more than 80
Backs i will leave as they are.
Stamina i will increase a bit.
Zero kicking ability for any forwards that don’t normally do it in real life. Like kickoffs or goal kicks.
I got opposition missed tackles in a 60 minute pro mode game to 80 from the high hundred by reducing offloads and fends last full game i played.

Yeah, I agree we need more teams in custom comps. They’re going off when the nrl only had 16 teams. It’s obviously expanded since and will continue to do so with Perth and PNG coming in.

Since the update yesterday I haven’t been getting the contracts that I pull from packs in pro team

Even when I open a pack it says I own a certain amount of each contract but won’t actually give it to me , can’t even play at the moment as all my guys have no contracts left and I can’t get more

Really like your insightful approach to balancing the game. If only Bigant had the delegated authority to implement player attributes, including blanket adjustments instead of being bound by official sources…

First round, first game of my custom NSWRL comp. No changes to any player attributes.
30 minute halves pro mode ps5. Dragons v Rabbitohs Redfern Oval.
What an outstanding game. Went down to the wire. The first try i scored (Dragons) was off the kickoff forward pass glitch. The 4 other kickoffs i did to them there was 1 other that i didn’t score on and 3 that weren’t forward. This truly is becoming a very good game.

Anyone else notice in the new update Jonah Glover has been removed?
It’s bad enough I can’t add Ward but no Glover now either, little things like that ruin career mode

Are the cowboys getting their indigenous round jersey?

Shame we can’t actually name custom competitions? We can make a NSW cup complete with logo. However, can’t name the comp to that effect.

Unless ofc Big Ant :ant: , and the higher ups can sort out the politics with the NRL and finally release it in a future update maybe?

Played around with player attributes. Played 3 different 30 minute halves on pro mode. Magpies v Tigers. I was Magpies CPU Tigers in al matches
First game i set skills in offloads, fends and side step for all players to zero. Result

Second game i kept the zero settings and also set ball strip to zero and reduced every players break tackle by 20. Result.

Third game i kept the previous settings and upped tackle by 10 for every player. Result.

Spent the morning changing the settings on the other 14 teams in my custom NSWRL Comp and played round 1. 30 minute halves
Pro mode. PS5. I flogged the Raiders running away with it in the second half. I was able to find and put players into holes. You can still fend, offload and side step. Not as frequently or easy as it was before you really have to work out a strategy which is good. I will keep these settings for the whole comp only thing i will change if i keep flogging teams is i will play in vintage mode.
The highest ranked teams are the Panthers and Magpies on 71 and the lowest the Seagulls, Eels and Tigers on 68.

When I go to grubber they kick with the power and distance of a 5 year old. :slightly_smiling_face: Can you please increase the distance of the grubber, Particularly with skill players.
Other than that, I’m having great fun with the game , looking forward to more updates like I more distance in the grubber kick and set plays.

Career: Matches played vs. Simulated games. 10-minute halves on Pro difficulty. Around 20 linebreaks (not trying too hard) vs AI’s 10-12. Sets for both sides are around 10-12. Score was 18-12. WHY are simulated games having wild scores with sets around 20 for both teams BUT have linebreaks around 8-10? Why is it so wildly inaccurate to what you play vs. what is simulated? Does my head in.

We really need to be able to edit teams ourselves. I’ve just played a game as the Salford Red Devils and there are a lot of players who are in the side IRL and not in the team in game.

Either that or Big Ant :ant: need to update all teams to reflect real life transfers.

Hi JNT,
Just thought i would ask, is there anyway the team could implement injuries and bans into competiton mode so they carry over into into the following games? It would be a good way to use more of your squad plus its great playing a full season with all the teams. Thanks.

Is there a way to get the kangaroos jersey to create the team?

I agree, these would allow a much better use of squads.

What I am doing is using a league website so as I can implement team lineups to coincide with IRL. The site is called rugbyleagueproject and has stats on all leagues.

I use it for my starting lineups in competition mode. However, I also think injuries, cards, and suspensions etc should carry over to give the mode a little more realism.
