Thanks for the latest update regarding the support players..definitly a step in the right direction..
with the set plays can you please add a slider or switch where we can alter the randomisation of the plays every tackle even to the point where they are not random at all they stay where we leave them? I feel it’s so random to the point where all the players are running around all over the shop. a simple fix of lessening or completely ridding the random changes of the plays would completely change the offence and be a simple but major change

I have only had a chance to play one or two games but it seemed to be a massive improvement for RL26. If they can improve on a couple more things and really dial in this game it will be the best league game ever. Keep it up BA.
I also used my Him card to buy the switch game. The graphics are indeed terrible, very choppy and frame rate is all over the shop. But in the three games I played I had a good deal of fun. I would say to support it if you can just in the hope having a competitor makes everyone push to do better. Out of the box there is sliders to change how the game plays, teams/players comps can be overhauled. The running game is actually good, draw and pass works, support play works, passing from hooker is restrictive as it seems only the first receiver ever gets the pill. kicking is slow mow which I prefer in league games. To be honest the game looks and feels like Rugby challenge, Rugby League 3 wii and Rugby League live 1 had a Frankenstein baby. What has really surprised me is the AI commentary is not bad at all and I think is potentially better than RL26 which actually sounds like AI. There is no set play at all, only tactics like depth and width of the line.
I think the biggest mistake made by the opposition was putting on Switch as it’s too under powered in my opinion. Maybe PS4, PC and Switch with some optimisation would have gone a long way because the biggest issue is the absolutely terrible graphics, anything up close is dreadful, general play is passable but the frame rate drops are a bit of a killer. So final verdict is buy if you have a gift card you don’t really know what to do with, on sale or if you have some doe you don’t need but leave it on the shelf in a cost of living crisis because you might get home and vomit at the presentation between some fun you manage to have.

I am struggling to add downloaded players to become free agents in career mode. I have been trying to add female players from smaller nations and possible players to be signed as converts to add more player depth. Does anyone know how to do this? I know I can add them into career mode by adding them to a team, but I don’t want that.
I’ve been using oddxone (think that’s his YouTube name) sliders and with the updates it plays a lot better! I’ve tweaked it abit so the AI commits more 6 again hold downs, and vice versa I give them away too to balance it out lol. Feels more realistic. The games feeling a lot more like a normal rugby league game (as best as it can)
not sure how much the admins will take on board requests / suggestions. But was hoping for @JNT_BA to just give some yes/no/whys etc for the following:
Will competition mode ever get a better interface for the stats? This way I’d probably play this mode more as I do enjoy using every team in the NRL.
Will there be a possibility to control the non selected teams in career? I’m really keen to be able to play some games in season with the opposition teams otherwise I’m stuck just going full noise with one club for like 27 rounds lol
Are there any plans to improve Career mode? Better options on signing players, potentially even signing players already under contract etc? Have updated stats in game (example Metcalf’s current points for the season as he’s attempting a conversion etc, or AJ about to break the Ken Irvine record etc..)

RL26 has been a disappointment from start to finish. I genuinely hoped Big Ant could deliver, especially given what they’ve achieved in the past (RLL2 IMO still the most realistic RL Video Game), but this game has struggled to compete from the opening kickoff. I’ve already outlined the major flaws in the player attribute/skill system (which has still yet to be addressed, sadly not looking likely), yet that is only one part of a much bigger issue it seems. I’m honestly at a loss for words. While I don’t know how the game is viewed internally at Big Ant, public perception has clearly been poor. That said, let’s start 2026 with a positive mindset! Is there anything we, as the Rugby League community, can do to help improve and reshape the Rugby League gaming ecosystem?
I know the nrl season is over for now, and cricket 16 is out, but it gives them no excuse to keep the game the state it is in. Broken logo creator, busted ball strip’s and dummy half scoot cheese, broken captain’s challenges and bugs galore. The fact that there is a setting in making your own difficulty “% of correct calls” is disgusting. The game was in a better state 3 mths ago than what it is now and it makes me sad. Worst of all, you cant even play woth custom players/teams with an offlone guest account, as the game cant “verify your age”. Big ant please just show us you care.
Big hit ratio at 6% in the custom difficulty but every set there is a big hit that knocks the ball loose…
Is anyone able to tell me what the ‘Adjusted State Of Origin match settings’ and ‘Adjusted NRLW Finals match settings’ did from the January 7th update?
I had a quick play this afternoon but didn’t notice anything different. I was hoping the correct, or at least more appropriate, field markings had been updated, but alas I saw nothing different.
I’m a huge fan of the Madden NFL series so I’d love to see the madden interception camera switch added to Rugby League 26.
When a pass is intercepted in Madden, the game briefly freezes and switches to the interceptor pov before control resumes.
When an interception happens in Rugby League 26, the camera spins in real time, so you end up having to spin your inputs to match the camera and you can’t really grasp the defensive line in time. It feels clunky and unintuitive.
I’m hoping the game adds something similar, most of the time I keep the camera on ‘Fixed’ so I don’t lose control when I make an interception.
Can anyone confirm, can the ten online wins be gotten in pro team or am I wasting my time?? I’m up past ten now and the achievement hasn’t unlocked. Secondly why am I getting penalised for tackle off the ball every time I intercept?? I’m nowhere near the man. I seem to be getting a ridiculous amount of tough calls online tbh. Charge down the kick.. penalty. Opponent messes up and the ball hits the floor.. knock on against me.. what?? Happens every. Single. Game. Big league fan but this game is in such a bad state unfortunately
**JNT_BA**Admin Do any of the sliders increase the probability of multiple players getting involved in the tackle. It seems many moons ago on past patches the AI and the user could get a second or third tackler involved in a struggle tackle earlier. This is particularly important on the Try line. Nothing less satisfying in the game then the struggle drive/hitup over the try line while the defending player both on USER controlled side and AI controlled side team is standing around, when there is a struggle tackle like this and there are defenders within a meter of the play, they really should get involved to help to prevent the try put down, or minimize meters gained away from the try line. Is there a specific button combination that helps get more defensive players involved. In past patch versions it seemed like the side scroll left shoulder button helped to get another defensive player or 2 involved but this seems to be no longer the case. Are there any sliders that would increase this? This is my biggest gripe with the game. The rest of the game is playing fairly well, but this particular thing really does ruin the game for me.
There still seems to be some issues with the passing or running lines of receiver’s as always seem to be doubling back or not going with the flow.
Also seems when players are getting back in position it screws up the set play or when passing as seems to pick the odd players.
Like why in the hell would I pass to players going off to the bench or coming back, but the AI seems to love picking them as first option.
The game although more playable now still feels broken at the core elements.
Passing - needs to be predictable so you know whos getting the ball and what line they are picking. Offloads can be in this catagory too as when animation starts for tackle breaks the offload is void, late, early or poo. Dont want to be a sports game just waiting for your turn between animations.
Lines of running - needs to be flater and hitting holes or on the drift, just seems its still madness. Intuition is dead as dont know what my player will do or the receiver options.
Hand off - this would be better as way more reactive as hardly ever happens but maybe more of a hold option of defenders coming across but feels like a lottery if buttons react.
Animation trigger timing - the space between defender and attacker to trigger an animation needs reducing as if I pass to not get tackled the defender beats the ball to the receiver. Or if I try to draw the animation for tackle gets triggered. Maybe this timing is the problem as opposed to passing speed, as if can reactively tackle or pass makes it a skill aspect not a programing problem.
Does anyone else have an issue where Career Mode ignores your difficulty settings?
I’ve got my settings set to Custom, but when I start a Career Mode match it switches to Rookie. Even if I change it back mid-game, it still feels much easier than it should definitely easier than Play Now on the same difficulty.
I’m on Xbox and this happens all the time. I’ve set it to Legendary, but the gameplay still feels like Rookie. Really frustrating, and I can’t believe this still hasn’t been fixed.
Anyone found a workaround or know what’s causing it?

Has anyone noticed the footy points are severely depleted after playing a game? Instead of the usual 8500-9600 I’ve been getting 1600-1800? Or is this a deliberate thing? I’ve created a ticket a couple of days ago but if this is deliberate can I ask why?
I was wondering that recently, but I was moreso wondering if/when the 2026 jerseys will be available. And if we get to have the 2025 ones as an option as well.
