Hey guys, does anyone knows what happened with AI and their serve errors etc? Didn’t play the game much in the last few months and was a bit surprised to see AI serve 100% most of time once again (custom difficulty with Expert options everywhere).
The addition of sliders is a great step in the right direction though
In Custom i contacted devs on no double faults by the CPU but for me the cpu does plenty of errors mostly long and into the net with some missing the sideline
No seperate slider for serve errors, i think it just a mix of all sliders how high you have AI assisted movement nothing is clear and all fiddling with sliders and ends up trial and error which can be time consuming,i still change sliders around but custom is definitely better than the default difficulties now, default Hard the cpu makes way too many errors even though you do get cpu double faults.
no, but there is slider for the player serve timing difficulty. However there is nothing to control the Ai server percentages which most of time time will be very very high.
Hi just got the game pretty much own every Big Ant game just want to say thank you, for not making sport game’s like 2k microtransaction heavy, and a bloody ripper tennis game at that already spent more time playing this than “said other tennis game” love the community creations and can make whom ever i want and even make my home court really awesome game thank you again.
I have owned just about every tennis game and i traded in Topspin 2k25 after 6 weeks with it’s slow unrealistic ball speed and boring gameplay and pathetic roster,i also got a full refund for Tennis Elbow 4 which i hated. My favourite before Tiebreak was AO2 but i have played Tiebreak 10 times as much, you have bought the game at a good time with many more players added and most bugs out of the game but still a few left to fix,if you played the game when it was released to now it is incredible with the transformation the devs have achieved and now you have custom sliders to play the game the way you want to. Ignore the negative comments on Youtube and other places as there is a lot of trolling going on,Tiebreak may not be perfect but it is the most i have enjoyed a tennis game and the player models are incredible aren’t they compared to any other tennis video game.
Its funny some people still trying to elevate Tennis elbow 4,and promote the idea that TB is so arcady which is wrong. TE4 released a patch for animation update this week, yet the player movement are even worse. No tennis even came close to TB.
The term “forced error comfort threshold” appears to be specifically related to settings within the “Tiebreak” tennis video game. To understand it, it’s essential to break down the components:
Forced Error:
In tennis, a forced error occurs when a player makes a mistake due to the opponent’s effective play. For example, a powerful, well-placed shot that forces the opponent into a difficult return, resulting in an error.
Comfort Threshold:
In this context, “comfort threshold” likely refers to a setting that determines how much pressure or difficulty an AI opponent (or potentially the player) can handle before making a forced error.
Therefore, “forced error comfort threshold” in “Tiebreak” likely controls how sensitive the game’s AI is to pressure. A higher threshold might mean the AI is more capable of handling difficult shots and will make fewer forced errors, while a lower threshold would make them more prone to errors under pressure.
Here’s what I gathered from the search results:
The exact mechanics of this setting are somewhat unclear, even to players actively using it.
Players are experimenting with slider settings to achieve realistic gameplay, and this “forced error comfort threshold” is one of those sliders.
It is a setting that relates to how likely an AI controlled player is to make a mistake when under pressure from an opposing player.
In essence, it’s a game setting that influences how realistically the AI responds to pressure during a tennis match.
Talking about that there is some forced error who are counted as unforced error in the game while they should not. Example when a player is commiting a fault when returning a serve. It shouldnt be counted as an unforced error
Do you really expect that the devs continue to support the game?
There is no more money to earn with extra work.
This is not my first tennis game by Big Ants, but my last.
Go over to Steam forum where these type of nonsense comments will suit you as you are just trolling, major update coming 15th May everybody else knows that.
As a big fan of AO2 i like the animations in Tiebreak more but i wish when the point ends the players mainly cpu don’t make those awkward sudden moves turning instead of just stopping,if the cpu is near the ball at end of point it is fine but when they are nowhere near the ball they continue moving.
Hello, your game is very good, obviously there are small details that could be improved, but there is one point that is key to make it a truly good game and that is that you put timing on each shot not just the serve, just like in ao tennis 2, because right now it is very easy to put the ball on the line or at the angle, you should put like in ao 2 a ball that depending on when you hit it turns red orange or green and depending on how you hit it you can adjust it more or less, right now you can always adjust the ball and it is very easy, if you add this timing it will be a historic game!!
