Update 14 Novembre = Great

For me tiebreak does not look like real tennis.
But much more important: Especially after the latest Update form Friday it is not fun for me.
If there are some players who apparently love it, so be it. everybody has their own tastes. and preferences.
The point is:
+I dont know any other game with so much updates after release without actually fixing errors, only change gameplay.
That is not Early Access !

  • Other developers care to serve the so called Hard core gamers with much much time to learn every nuance of a game without infuriating the other more casual gamers.
Bsp :Why are there no sliders in the game?

I think many more players wont like the directions this games takes
They dont post in Forums and have long since moved on do other games.

Most likely Tiebreak will be the last game I bought from this developer
If I need space for my HDD Tiebreak will be the first game that I will delete.

And Topspin 2k25 has done very little with updates since release as far as substantial improvements in gameplay and lack of players added which has infuriated their fan base and many are now moving over to Tiebreak.

Where are the numbers for your assertion?
As far as I know tiebreak has a very little player base and the last steam
count proves that.
Even an exotic niche game like cricket has more players on steam.
Also the reviews are not that great.
Players crtitizize Top spin because of the pay to win mechanic and the always
online requirement (which is also in Tiebreak)
Many player hope that 2k will buy the ATP and WTA licenses in the future,
they think that the game with the better game mechanic should have licenses.

end of the day, tennis games need speed and power sliders, so players will control the pace they want.

definitely at this stage, tiebreak is way superior game the real animation of the players, the community, the roster, the graphics, player faces scan, serve mechanics, etc…

however the game is on the faster pace, and tennis is a fast game to be fair but we need to respect some players who like to sit and chill and not feel hectic , all the great sports games fifa , nba has speed and power options , my only concern about tiebreak at this stage is that on weekly basis they keep changing the Al speed and pace so we need to keep adjusting to that, they need to patch the game fully we cant keep getting weekly major gameplay changes, They need to make sure to remove any AL bombs from the gameplay

Can you help me with smashes is it all about being in a precise position or a preferred button and how much direction forward used as i am getting quite a few wonky slow smashes with nothing on them. I have had some good speed smashes but not many,i suspect positioning.

if your using world tour or assisted mode the game will help u position ur player for the smash, u need to press X button for smash with left or right direction dnt use O, press X little bit hard its fine

Thank you i use world tour movement and maybe i did use the X and held it longer when it felt good and i definitely did use O topspin button for a couple of them today. That was the other thing i noticed when you angle the smashes instead of just straight they feel much better.

NGL this made me giggle a little. An exotic niche game with an audience of one to two billion people a year watching the sport probably is about as “niche” as any sport.

the smoothness of the animations in Top Spin is the only reason people say it looks like “real tennis” imo. When it comes to Tiebreak vs TopSpin i can’t get my head around that some people still think/say that Top Spin has the edge xD but ok each their own! To that claim Tiebreak is a simulation and Top Spin is an Arcade game i have to say…both are Arcade games but BigAnt actually cares about updating and 2k doesn’t give a flying fudge xD so i go with BigAnt this time and 2k should be ashamed of themselves!

true, even though the animations of top spin is smooth but it doesn’t feel real and all players have copy paste animations , and the shot meter is not consistent u need to keep pressing the button after u hit the shot for direction, its boring,Tiebreak is way superior right now, the only plus that top spin still has right now is the classic players, licensed slams with smooth court colors and no AL bombs

True 1000% :joy:

Dont stop upgrade the game, really its a very good game. The dev are very good. I play the game since Januarry and i ser all improvement.

I want to congratulate you, the dev, big ant, all who work on this game.

For me now its the best tennis game (i have All the tennis games).

Need some improvement like Sliders, Stamina rework… But its already good now.

yes but i don’t think a lot of casuals actually notice the lack of signature animations xD they just see “oh smooth nice animations” xDDD. Classic players would be awesome in the future with their signature animations! Licensed Slams is a question of $$$ and yeah Grass and Clay courts need some work but they already confirmed that they working on that too

I hope they will tune down all the courts colors including the hard courts, the colors right now is on the strong side and feel little bit unrealistic, it need some smoothness

Each to their own but I can’t understand why anybody would want a relaxing tennis game? Tennis by its nature is anything but relaxing. It requires the sharpest levels of focus and concentration in order to anticipate the play because it happens that fast. For me a tennis game is at its best when the matches are super close and the tension is high. Yes it can get the heart racing but that’s what makes it so exciting and immersive. There was an earlier build of Tie Break which was even faster, which I actually really enjoyed but overall it was a touch too difficult with the way player movement worked at the time. The pace of the game is in a great place now.

I bought Top Spin before Tie Break and I was so disappointed. It feels sluggish, inauthentic and looks like a childrens cartoon. I really didn’t want to wax another £60 on another tennis game but not looked back since I bought Tie Break. The fact it keeps developing in a positive direction has me excited about where it could get to.

Actually the developer over on discord is very often communicating and taking feedback and keeping people updated on plans etc so your claim of them not caring and moving on is off the mark. Cricket is a massive sport lol so not sure were you getting niche from lol . And no tiebreak doesn’t need constant internet to play ( on console at least) … So few points on your post are completely wrong…

Maybe cricket is popular in some regions of the world, in many others like Europe without UK , the Americas , Africa etc it is absolute niche.
I wanted only show that a Computer game like cricket wont potentially interest as much players as Tennis .
Therefore if cricket has more players on steam than tiebreak,
Tiebreak is not very popular among gamers.

With the constant internet connection of Tiebreak maybe you are right.

I wouldnt like to defend 2k but the customers knew from day 1 what kind of game they got. If they didnt like it they had the chance to refund the game
(Steam: 2h playtime or 14 days)
With tiebreak after the updates long after release which changed how the game plays drastically, this isnt possible.
If they added to the game, for example intoduced additional game modes, sliders and players this would have been another matter , the game would have more value.
by the wasy :Wouldnt it be easier to implement sliders so everyone can adjust the game to their liking instead of release patch after patch after patch…
One last word:
You like the game as it is, I dont like it and would never have bought it in this state.

Well I like the majority prefer the game currently as it’s getting tougher as previous versions were far to easy. Didn’t they just hold a big cricket tournament in America ? So must be some interest. Obviously going up against baseball over there it’s going to struggle. As my original post said, each to their own you prefer top spin great, personally considering the full version cost double the full version of tiebreak and is still full of mtx and no were near the content is pretty disgusting and I’ll happily support the developers who are actively trying to finally give fans a good tennis game.

Agree with every word you said and i traded in Topspin 2K25 after a month, the slow boring unrealistic gameplay and lack of players and terrible models was enough for me,as Tiebreak is now it is easily the best tennis game for what i ever wanted in a tennis game, the Topspin one eyed supporters god knows why can keep saying it is better but anyone who has played competitive tennis and watch the pros knows otherwise.

guys we need to agree something that i have been mentioning since day one, sliders is must for sports games, no big sport game is created without them, top spin is suffering from. very slow pace and tiebreak had a lot of complains before with the bombing and difficulty issues

the only way to make both parties satisfied is adding 3 sliders for speed power and shot accuracy we need to respect all opinions

Sliders are a definite must, don’t know how easy it is to implement but hoping the dev’s are working on it.
