i think when talking about delays we also need to remember these facts:
-a mode like this cant release until all platforms are live. X Box didnt give their green light until September. So due to fair play it couldnt be released during that time.
-xbox approves in september during finals, with 4 weeks left i think everyone universally agreed there was no point with the season over.
In essence the main delay has been from March 2024 till now.
Doesnt make it any less frustrating but i really think context is needed with these things showing the full picture.
The mode hasnt just been sitting there 2 weeks after launch and they just cbf loading it up for example.
No, however i think the concern was that it was ready to go from the start.
Its easy to blame platform holders or external stakeholders at this point, however at the end of the day it wasnât ready at launch. If everything was 100% ready to go at launch none of us would be having this conversation.
Instead by this point we would be begging jnt for a new iteration of the game after 18 months of greatness.
Why has there been a delay from march to now then. Theirs no chance you can be waiting on approval for a game mode for over 5 months if you have been working on it from most likely sometime in 2022. And then why wouldnt you send it off to be approved in the off season so it would be ready for the start of the 2024 season?
I think itâs obvious that it wasnât ready in time. And hear we have people like you who will defend big ant to save their life and will say they havenât done a single thing wrong while we all wait on a game mode thatâs only a year and a half late

My Eagles line up in my longest save has both Jamieson and Draper as my two rucks. (I poached from Essendon Draper, Perkins and I got Jones as a delisted free agent.). I use the random generated players and get them OP and then I use them as leverage to steal other players
Would be cool if they would happen but BA wonât touch management mode as they consider it as a complete mode. Maybe they might change their minds and add lots more content to management mode
Nope. Unfortunately it looks like we arent getting any updateds to management mode.
So a lackluster management mode and no pro team leaves us with play nowâŚ
If there is ever a successor title (which I hope will be far better. But I also doubt we will get another one) I hope the lessons learnt will help steer to a better game and prosper.
@BringBackTheTorp I wouldnât call it lacklustre, I think thatâs a bit of an exaggeration. Theyâve done a decent enough job of it to make it more than enjoyable over and different experiences over multiple saves. Does it need fine tuning? Yes. But people talking down on Management Mode need to realise itâs in the same boat as FIFA/NBA from the early 2010s, which is more than fine in my eyes. In terms of the progression side of things, I actually prefer seeing whether draft picks hit their potential naturally, makes it more realistic.
I just think they need to fix up the player stats/ages and draft picks after 2027 being horrendous.
No injuries and suspensions over a year into publish is a bit of a concern though. Management mode has to be improved and focused on next in my opinion
