Seems like some kind of delay where my player will just stand next to the opponent before starting the animation which allows them to get rid of the ball easier.
Ah okā¦ Iāve typically seen that when my press of the tackle button is a bit wrong, or Iām not pushing the correct direction of the stick at the player. In those circumstances, the tackle still plays out, but laterā¦ as they kick it (which is seen in the replay).
Iāve now moved to a couple of different options:-
- Hold R1 to hone in on the player (so at least the direction should be right)
- Release R2 because sprinting is known the reduce the potential window of opportunity for a good tackle
OR - move if front and tap R1 (not hold) so I can attempt a smother and potentially overturn it.

does anyone know of any creators that create retro teams? For example, 2013/14/15 Hawks or the 2009 Cats? Would love to recreate some huge games, just canāt find any on the academy.
Couple more things Iāve noticed playing a few games today.
- No urgency to keep the ball in play on the boundary. Would be good to have something similar to Cricket 24 when saving the ball from the rope.
- No ability to shepard or call for a shepard.
- Kicking for goal on the run is either a goal or on the full, hard to just kick a point.
- Would love an option to call for players and ruckman to get ready for a kick down the line.
- Ai are too urgent to play on if they have a small amount of space.

whenever i check stats in season or mangment mode in statistics it does not show who is leading the goalkicking it just shows it in alphabetcal order and i have to wait until the end of a season to see who won the colemen.
You have to press triangle to sort by the stat you want. So move right arrow until the stat column you want is highlighted then click sort button, and walah there you have it, your goal kicking leaderboard.

indeed. My understanding is that that is getting fixed at some stage soonishā¦ You can upload logos but not place them on guernseys.
I hate how it lets me have like 30 intercept marks in the one quarter because then it means I have no challenge when playing teams on management mode I make the grand final every year and Iām up by 60 points a quarter time even against Collingwood I beat them 187 to 26. but when I go to hardest setting I donāt touch the ball at all

Also when you update rosters can you make another tab for players that are no longer playing like now I canāt play lance Franklin or Nic Naitanui

Yeah, Iāve got 4 leagues worth of content which I canāt add to guernseys. (Bendigo, Murray, Hampden and Gippsland).

Anybody notice that the numbers on the 2024 GWS away jerseys are the wrong colour? They changed to white this season, but theyāre still charcoal in the game

Iām gonna sound like a broken record, but hopefully the image usage issue will be fix for Guernseys before the patchā¦

Something Iāve always wanted to see on a tv broadcast is a small overlay under the scoreboard of the players numbers who are currently on the bench.
They do have a seperate scoreboard at the footy which was a great introduction to watch live games.
Would be good to something like this implemented especially when the bench system has been rectified.
What do people think ?
