Yep and apparently achieving both is not possible, even a year later after release.
Iām sure youāre correctā¦ that it isnāt a high priority for quite a few gamersā¦ but purely judging by the outcry on the boards/threads/socials, ProTeam has the higher demandā¦ so Iād use that to guess that itās what a majority of people want.
Iām looking forward to itā¦ and while I doubt itāll have all the features of EAFCās (FIFA)'s Ultimate Teamā¦ I think itāll give the game another longevity angleā¦ and then hopefully after that the in-game injuries can be looked at.
People complaining about microtransactions (if theyāre even part of itā¦), well, just play it and donāt spend your money.
I never once paid for an Ultimate Team pack, because I felt like playing the game to earn them was far better.
My main concern is that a shiny new mode is going to break the game again, and my concern is based on ā¦ The entire history of this game.
Wanting the existing game to be fixed and sealed off from Big Antās tinkering with new modes isnt too much to ask for I would think. Especially when the entire purpose of the new mode is to monetise the experience of something we already paid $100 for.
And letās be honest, the state of play now and season modes are really the absolute bare minimum we should be expecting from a full-price title in 2024 in the first place
Ugh. This thing is never going to be what we were promised, is it?

I would argue proteam is the most prominent theme on social media not because itās peoples priority but because its absence from the game is the most obvious/universally known thing to complain about. Tom, Dick and Harry might not actually have the game but still know to complain about no proteam.
I highly doubt that people without the game, are complaining about the game they donāt have.
Granted, there are things still to be fixed, or features (like Pro Team mode, or training in Management Mode ) that we hoped had different/more aspects included from the startā¦
But the game as it stands has lots of mini-battles, intuitive processes, and difficult struggles that you only really see if you understand the game and have an understanding of AFL games past, without throwing the controller down in anger (see my videos on options when tackled, or the sliders).
While you may write it off for the struggled release (which weāre all aware of), or if you want more for your $100ā¦ fineā¦
But I prefer to stay constructive rather than derogatory , and Iād also argue that the GAMEPLAY now has more than most previous titles have offeredā¦
If you donāt see that, and have concerns that a new game mode with added longevity is being includedā¦ well ok, donāt play itā¦ donāt spend your money on it.
But Iāll play itā¦and so will many others who have been looking forward to this mode being included.
You are assuming that proteam will be good/finishedā¦
I play afl games as a fan of afl, not so much a fan of video games. I want a gaming experience that as much as possible mirrors the sport I love.

What date is pro team supposed to be dropping? Iāve been enjoying gameplay lately, easily the best it has been since launch. Letās hope that when it drops the gameplay doesnāt take a massive hit. That will be disappointing for it to go backwards after finally coming so far forward. Itās still got a long way to go but man itās come a long long way since launch day.
You would hope that it would be complete by this stage, itās a year late

Only thing thatās appeared is a blank premiership cup with no winner engraved.
I mean whatās the point of the Hall of Fame? Hopefully itās fixed. It is a shame my first season wonāt be in the games history now

Not sure if its been brought up, but i remember them advertising āLegendsā before the game came out, ex AFL legends to be included in pro team. Is this still a thing?
@JNT_BA Has the shadow issue been looked into? When playing on end camera, in some games down one end, the playerās backs are extremely dark.

Nothing Iāve seen any tickets or complaints about personally. Iāll have a chat with the QA and Support team to see if they have anything reported. Did you put a ticket in with the support team in the past?
Means little to nothing that its come a long way, as it should not of been launched in the state it was.
@JNT_BA It has happened since release, I havenāt put a ticket in because I didnāt have evidence of it considering Iām on PS5. Kind of just put up with it but thought Iād bring it up.
Also noticed a few games of frame drops down towards the goals on the end camera.
I have adjusted the game sliders through playing about 20 play now games over the last 3 days. Tweaked sliders between games. Got it how I want it so I start a new season modeā¦ and the game sliders play different all together in season modeš¤¦
This game is a messy web, too tangled to untangle. Yet they want to throw Proteams on top. It might as well be Proteam exclusively.

Thatās just old players that are over their peak and their stats have dropped. Why they arenāt disappearing from the game at a certain age I donāt know - they should be removed at 40 or something. Some will disappear entirely and some are there forever. Basically donāt bother drafting anyone over 27 unless you want a fast drop off - I guess a player wouldnāt be in the draft in real life if they were the quality of an 80+ OVR player anyway. The 17-18 year olds will average anywhere from 40s to a few in the 70s if youāre lucky - most average in the 50s to mid 60s which is probably right before they start developing.
